I'm going to see an LLMD on Monday but the integraruve med dr I've been seeing nearby believes in a six week antibiotic treatment in conjunction with hyperbaric oxygen to kill off lyme. Has anyone ever heard of that?

DazedPete, that's exactly what I thought. His reasoning is that if you are treated with medication for an extended period of time, you heal but once that medication is taken away then you get sick again. According to him, these oxygen treatments really get knit your brain and deep tissues to kill the suckers in conjunction with antibs.

It's likely this Integrative doc is thinking of early Lyme though.

Okay well not to complicate matters more but how do we determine early lyme vs late lyme? Esp if tests are all inconclusive?

Early infection, as in no or almost no symptoms and only been infected for a few weeks.

This is easiest to determine when someone sees the tick and gets a bulls eye - but that leaves a whole bunch of us out! I've been infected for most of my life, and even got reinfected this year, but I've never had a bulls eye rash.
