Painful and tingling arms and hands

Just wondering if anyone gets pain and tingling in the arms and hands? The pain is mostly in the nerve in the back of the arm, and on the inside of the palm of my hands. I constantly wake up with one or both hands partially or completely numb. I get strange sensations in my thumbs and aching in my knuckles that comes and goes (stiffness too) Any comments and or questions would be greatly appreciated by this new member :-)

Hello mike, and welcome to the forum. Sorry you're having these problems. I'm not an expert, by any means - still trying to work this all out and get some answers myself - but yes, I do get tingling in my hands, particularly in the fleshy part of my thumb - kind of a strange, slightly numb feeling, though I don't get any pain as such. I also get this in my forearms a lot of the time. I have often woken with either a hand completely numb or very tingly if I've had it in an odd position or held up slightly, and it eases if I hang my arm over the edge of the bed. I also get stiffness in one of my thumbs, that comes and goes. I had the same thing in the knuckle of my middle finger a while ago. It lasts for a couple of weeks or so, then seems to ease. So yes - not sure if any of this is helpful to you, but I can certainly sympathise as I do get the same kind of tingles! Have you been diagnosed with lyme? Do you have other symptoms indicative of lyme?

Oh yes have had that too. Both arms would get numb and tingling while driving and i would wake up with one arm that way often, and it wasn't because i was sleeping oddly.

Also my leg from my thigh down to my foot would tingle and the other leg would have shooting pain in my thigh. A dull ache at times as well.

Has much improved with treatment, just occasional now and not as intense as it once was.

Thank you so much for the replies, and yes Flossie, I was diagnosed lyme positive by the igenex test in august. I have had brain fog and severe fatigue, but both have disappeared for now. I have regular fasciculations and pain and cramping. Again I appreciate the replies

I found that the painful numbness in my arms and hands which would wake me several times nightly was alleviated by adding red root tincture (5 drops 3x daily) to our herbal protocols. The change was almost immediate. Red root also significantly helped my brain fog.

Buhner recommends it for lymph drainage and to stop rouleaux of RBC along endothelial tissue which can cause decreased micro-circulation. Rouleaux can be caused by both bartonella and babesia infections.

If I discontinue for more than a few days the symptoms gradually start returning, which indicates to me that I still have issues.

Buhner says there are some people that will have to remain on certain herbs indefinitely. Which is fine with me as long as I remain asymptomatic while on them. It sure beats the alternative.
