I have not posted for a long time, but do check the boards from time to time to still feel connected. I am grateful to have this board and everyone here. I continue to have more not-so-good days than ok days (with a rare "pretty good overall day and until this past week, rare "I can't bear it anymore days". )
Today is the first day since last Friday that I have been able to:
1. Move without having extreme head pain, nausea and a vertigo like feeling.
2. Move without dry heaving more often than not. (I felt almost like I had a migraine but without typical migraine pain and I was not affected by light.)
3. Not have to wear earplugs because even the simplest of noises were horrible.
4. Not feel tremendous discomfort and pain in my back - upper and lower and esp on the right side
5. Not feel constriction/tightness in my ribcage - I felt like I had a metal cage inside me and it was trying to get out - both squeezing me in and pushing out. The most awful feeling ever and so hard to describe.
6. Not have random spots/areas on my body just "ache" - for hours and/or for a few seconds. the ones that were brief felt like someone had "frogged" me with their fist -ache, ache and then it was gone.
7. Walk upright - I was bent over due to terrible pain/discomfort in my back, stomach and shoulder area.
8. Not feel so fatigued I could barely hold my head up for any length of time. My arms and hands were the same - tired, worn out, achy..
XXXXX
I truly thought I was dying and I'm not being overly dramatic. My husband and I talked about what we could "do" ... and decided there was nothing we could do - but wait it out and see if it would lessen or pass. I took epsum baths, did lemon water, etc.
I've had so many traditional medical tests - all fine - that's great and ....
So, we attribute this to lyme - herx? Lyme/Bart as "normal" - I don't even know anymore.
Can anyone relate to any of these symptoms? I've never ever had it this bad for a solid week. there are no words for how grateful I am that most of it has lessened or is almost gone - except for the fatigue - which is still pretty present. Does this sound like anything anyone has had for this long of a time with no let up?
thank you for your support.
