Thanks everyone.
I have been very nervous about
this since finding out. I've been trying to research online—found a few studies that were done linking long QT to myocarditis and lyme but can't read them (have to purchase them). And other lyme patients who have the same condition. This is one thread from another forum that I thought was interesting:
flash.lymenet.org/scripts/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=1;t=064297;p=0I had taken the systemic anti fungal for about
a year and had baseline EKG done when I started and everything was fine. However, my first clue was that 30 minutes after my very first Diflucan dose, I had a near fainting spell. Only one, but that might have been connected. And a couple other EKGs throughout the year taking Diflucan were normal. And then I stopped taking it about
a month ago and the EKG that was done a couple weeks after that showed the long QT. So I will get another EKG done soon.
What I'm gathering is that this is a condition that can simply make your heart stop. Not like a heart attack—it just stops. So, there's nothing that can be done. So, if that's the case, then I guess I just continue life as before. Nothing I can do about
it.
