Child with Lyme need LLMD

My daughter tested positive for Lyme back in 2013. She was treated by an ID doctor for a month and then a LLMD thereafter who now is retired. Her symptoms are coming back and we need to find another LLMD in florida. We live in central florida between orlando and gainesville and are willing to travel if need be. Please I hope someone on this list can recommend a LLMD. I don't want my daughter to have neurological symptoms again from the Lyme disease.

thererese55- I too was treated by retired doc. I'd love to talk over the phone about LLMDs in Central FL -maybe e-mail your # so we won't break any forum rules....

Landside 55 Unless changes in forum policies I think we are allowed to speak in general/vague coded messages ie I too have been a patient of Dr. J in DC but difficult to travel. Id love to talk with u as well.

BTW The policy is one I very much support.

For information on finding a LLMD in your area, you will need to enable your email option in your profile in order to receive any recommendations, as we don't allow doctor's names and contact info to be posted on the forum for several reasons. You can enable your email option in your profile, under 'edit profile'. Be sure to click the submit button to actually save your preference.

You will want to find an ILADS (International Lyme And Associated Diseases Society) trained doctor, as ID Docs (Infectious Disease Doctors) believe Lyme is hard to catch and easy to treat, and don't believe in the reality of chronic Lyme.
