Freaking out now

So I got a red bump on my hand and I am wondering if it is a tick bite. I am skeptical though because on my hand I think I would have noticed it since I am always very observant of the top of my hands.


I'm not sure what to think, I mean another possibility could be it is a scrape from me trying to break some ice with my hands yesterday(cause it was frozen water outside and I had to break it to get to something).


I am praying to God that this is not another bite, I will be devastated if it is. Although it doesn't itch it just kind of feels like a normal scrape would a little hurting but not much, kinda flaky, I think a tick bite would be a bit more raised but I am still very scared that it may be a bite, I'm just thinking that maybe I would have noticed it since I am almost always observing my hands.


Anyway can I please get some opinions on this? Because I am freaking out about it today and can't calm down really, I am posting two pictures below so you all can view the mark, and hopefully I dodged a bullet and this is not another bite, last thing I need is to be infected more :/

Thank you Trav, you definitely helped ease my anxiety a bit. I appreciate it, I am just always checking for ticks now ever since my first bite and when I saw that this morning I freaked out so bad

could the ticks survive if there is so cold outside that is icy? I thought most of them die due to freezing, unless they hide in the tree's bark?

I read the cold temp don't kill the ticks and in fact they can be out when it's pretty cold and we don't think their out. Bi thought I was safe in the winter from them.
