Does anyone else have chlamydia pneumonia?

Just wondering how you treat it and how long it takes to go away?

I have it. My doctor made a big sigh when looking at my test results and said "oh boy..". He said that sometimes it takes a year and half to 3 years..

At my appointment this last week he said that I could be better in a year or year and half though. So I'm not entirely sure.

I haven't been able to find any decent information on it. Let me know if you do. My urologist said that it likes to mess with bladders.

I "HAD" it! The treatment was same abx as for lyme and co's. It took me one year to get rid of it. I never had symptoms, that I know of, but it's nice to test negative:)

In Belgium almost everybody has Chlamydia Pneumoniae as co-infection with Lyme.

What are the symptoms?  I wonder if I have Chlamydia too, seems like everyone else has it.  What is the test I should use for it?

I imagine the best treatment is a combination of intracellular abx like Dr. H recommends for his mycoplasma/bartonella treatments. 

So a good treatment might be minocycline/azithromycin/rifampin. 

You can check his rotations in his book and there is info on it online:

The plaquenil makes the intracellular abx work 40% better. 

I think it's something like this:

Plaquenil/Doxycycline/Rifampin

Plaquenil/Doxycycline/Levaquin

Plaquenil/Zithromax/Septra DS

Plaquenil/Zithromax/Rifampin

Plaquenil/Factive/Rifampin

Plaquenil/Factive/Rifampin/minocycline

I think he rotates them around which improves the effectiveness of the overall treatment.

Research says that 80-95% of the population has it and leading cause of Asthma and Pneumonia. It pretty much damages the lungs... where it resides.

How were you tested? I can't seem to find an appropriate test in Labcorp's list of tests. This is the lab that my doctor uses.

A GP with a degree (cum laude) in stupidity 'forgot' to check my lab results done when I had what seemed to be a severe respiratory infection (i was worried about pneumonia cause I was very sick and had 2 before, but she didn't take it seriously cause my temp wasn't high enough for the miss). She called me a few months later to say she forgot to check the results and that I had Chlam Pn. She then refused to follow the instructions from my treating dr (llmd, further from home) to give me 6 or 8 weeks of high dosed Azythromycine. She gave me 3 days, low dose.
My llmd tests through PCR.

I know labcorp tests for it because I originally tested positive with labcorp. I then had it retested with Infectolab, and it too was positive.

I tested positive for C. Pneumoniae with Immunoblot (IgA/IgG/IgM). It can also be tested with PCR and LTT.

My LLMD tested me for it and put me on a simple zpack. I'm worried now that I should have been on something extensive? She alluded to it being something that was not too difficult to treat

I had it. But it wasn't discovered until after I had been on antibiotics for quite some time. My doc uses Howard/Martz protocol Isoniazid with Azith. It took 4 to 5 months.
