Hi guys,
Mom is on 12/12 drops twice a day of the cats claw and banderol, have been going up by 1 drop each day. we are going to switch her soon to an antibiotic regimen by her LLMD. However, she has been feeling super down lately. She says she is crying, scared, upset, sad. She is on a low dose of lexapro. Obviously with her neuro symptoms, there is a reason. However, she is never like this. Are the blues part of herxing? What have you done for it?? I am tempted to tell her to go up on the lexapro and see what happens.

Obviously I can't know for sure. But yes, this can definitely be a herx reaction.
I wouldn't go up on the LExapro. I would go down on the cats claw and banderol and up the detoxing.

Yes, babana, it could be a herx. I'm in seven months now, and I was crying my eyes out yesterday....I'm feeling better okay.
I agree with Sarah - Lower the dose of cat's claw/banderol, up detoxing - try that first.
And...give her lots of hugs, and tell her she's going to be okay.

I know that even this last time as I went through treatment I hit a point where depression set in and I couldn't battle it. I had to get something to take to help lift it. For me, I found that a specific brand of tryptophan actually helped tremendously - and bonus! It helped with my sleep too!
So it can definitely be a part of a herx, or it could be a part of the infection, or it just could be that she is overwhelmed with it all. This really is a lot to "ask" a person to go through - of course there is no way out but through, so we have to treat our symptoms - depression and anxiety too - and keep moving forward with our treatments!
And I agree with Girlie - lots of hugs and telling her that this is actually showing you that her treatments are working! And that she's strong enough to get through this, and ask her to give you a hug from all of us for helping her so much!!!

Thx Traveller! Your words of encouragement are bringing tears to my eyes; this is overwhelming for all of us at home. Thank you.
