Has anyone else done this? If so, what was your experience?

The protocol consists of five different parasite meds, Biltricide-Ivermectin-Pyrantel-Albenza-Alinia. I'm two weeks in (currently on the Ivermectin & Pyrantel), and I am struggling.

My exhaustion, facial pain, headache, brain fog, and depression are TERRIBLE. My LLMD said I probably wouldn't herx, so I am surprised by the reaction I am having.

Surprisingly, my stomach has been totally fine, and I have yet to see a single parasite.

Anyway, if any of you have tried this, please let me know your experience. Thank you!

Hi Lynn1980 -

I just booked an appt. with Dr. Y. Apparently Dr. K got his protocol from Dr. Y. but Dr. Y is not an LLMD. I am wondering if you can e-mail me the name of the practitioner you are working with for the treatments you are doing (the LLMD) as I am interested in finding someone who is lyme literate who does these treatments.

And keep us posted on how you are doing!! I am sorry that it has you feeling so unwell!!

The die off became too much for me to take, so my LLMD is having me take a momentary break to detox.

I'm so curious how others have reacted to this protocol, but there is not a whole lot out there when it comes to this regimen for Lyme/babesia.

I never have done this, but I am listening to one of Dr. K's videos and he explains that this should never be attempted without a detox protocol for heavy metals.  He also says that one should start with the mildest meds first to kill whatever will kill and then the heavier meds.  Why:

Because the parasites store 100-300 times more heavy metal concentration than what is around them in our body and when they die from the meds, they release the heavy metals into our body.  So without a good heavy metal detox protocol, the patient will get ill from the heavy metals being released from the dying parasites.

Dr. K sees the parasites as the last attempt to keep us alive by taking the toxins inside them.  He sees them not as our enemy.  So, yes, we want to get rid of them, but we must do it carefully and I wonder how many LLMDs are aware of how to do this correctly--because to me it makes sense what he says-->have a heavy metal detox program along with it or you end up losing the parasites but keeping the heavy metals from which the parasites were trying to protect us in order to keep us alive. 

I also found interesting that he discovered a new monster worm and he cut it up and sent it to a lab in Germany, one in Russia, and 3 in US and the results varied dramatically.  Also, he discovered a person suspected of lung cancer to actually be infected with lung parasites.  Good thing, because they were going to start cancer treatment on him!  Crazy stuff! 

So, I am still listening, but he mentions this (among many other things) simple methods:
1.  Milk and salt--parasites love the milk and come out from the tissues to get it, but then the salt kills them
2.  Water and baking soda

 He repeats: never do this, unless you are covered for heavy metals!
He said you can kill someone with a strong parasitic treatment.

Good thread--I'm intersted in this too, as I am learning from Dr. K.  This guy has so many videos, I don't know if I will ever finish them, all LOL!

Just a word of warning.

Please do not use Veterinary medicines to treat yourself. It is very dangerous.

Also the discussion of illegal activities is not allowed here (Rule #1). Off-label use of medicines is against Federal Law.

achievinggrace - Oh, OK. Cool. Got it. :)

Also, for those of you following the thread. I stopped the meds and did a major detox yesterday - pulled out all the guns, and I feel much better today. I'm still dealing with symptom flares, and I'm definitely warn out/achey, but I am hoping to resume the meds soon. The "die off" with these meds is intense, though, and I'm not looking forward to it.

I have been able to decrease my herxes by supplementing the nutritional deficiencies of my methylation pathway mutations. It has helped a lot.

So, just to update. I went to Dr. Y in St. Louis, Missouri to see him with regards to parasites as Dr. K suppesedly derived his parasite protocol from him.

His assistant used a thermographic camera and asyra testing that are included in the fee to see him. They wouldn't let me see the results of the asyra test because it is not fda approved.

However, I did see a couple of things as it was scanning me. Tapeworm. Iodine issue.

Interestingly, I had done a humaworm cleanse a while back - started but never finished - and had what looked like tapeworm segments in my stool (yuck) and so I was concerned about this particular parasite. I also had a Metametrix test come back - parasite present/taxonomy unavailable.

He gave me ivermectin and pyrantal palmoate but nothing for tapeworm which was my primary concern. He did electro acupuncture and recommended a ton of supplements and a test which would have cost me an additional $400+ which I deferred because I wanted to think about it.

Anyways - that was my experience. So for me, the appointment was a wash. Back to square one. I may take the ivermectin just because I have it - but I will probably give Humaworm another go to try and treat the tapeworm.

i just did my first 5 day run with Alinia.


This is after extensive babesia treatment with Mepron (plus many rounds of Artemisinin)

I'm probably speaking too soon...but the last two mornings I have not had the anxiety and sweating when I wake up.
This was a symptom that used to (a couple years ago) wake me up during the night and then again in the morning....that over time resolved except for the morning anxiety/sweating.

I have to add that this 5 days of Alinia....I had a pattern...which I don't usually get. I would take it in the morning and about 3-4 hours later...a couple symptoms would increase...burning back pain..and some head pressure.
Then by evening that would mostly subside
By the 5th day the increase at the 3-4 hour mark was minimal.


I can't say for sure it's the Alinia...because I also did a persister protocol a couple weeks ago as well...along with bartonella treatment.

Finally, maybe it's the fact that I treated babesia fully and have now returned to the bart treatment.

Stopped the protocol due to heavy metal redistribution reaction. Good news is I may have found the root cause of a suppressed immune system. Dr k is a bright guy but he seems to have missed the mark on heavy metals. I’ll be starting the ACC protocol in mid Oct and focusing on HM using low dose chelation.

Btw feeling much better since shifting my supplement support to Heavy Metal toxicity versus Lyme. I have no doubt I had Lyme. But Cowden protocol seems to have knower that down pretty good,

I think I am having problems with heavy metals now that I am sympton free
I have constant ringing in my ear
Sometimes when I go to sleep I see Blue Dots (think that is arsenic)
I googled "ACC" and found the protocol, 25mg of ALA and DMSO and DMPS
Is there any cheaper way to deal with this?

Right now I am stuck. I don't want to stop treatment, because now I can walk for 45minutes to an hour (probably indefinitely) and wake up, go to bed. How do I know if I have heavy metal? I feel tired, but it is different than the lyme fatigue. I have been eating more now that I have felt better where as before I was on a pretty good "lazy" fasting streak. I am having problems remembering words and addresses, but it comes and goes. I would say my cognitive ability has greatly improved but the problems are I feel different. I read your comment and wonder if it has something to do with heavy metals and my sudden recovery and lots of die offs.

Be carful with HM treatment, it’s important you get it right. I stumbled on the ACC Facebook group and decided to go that route. It may not be the only but it’s way way more thought out than any Lyme protocol. Many Lymers there treating HM. It’s a much more disciplined approach in that Andy Cutler, a chemist, developed a HM protocol, treated himself and wrote 2 books.

He used a hair test and developed interpretation “rules” that determine if your body is HM comprised. The biggest source in mercury from dental amalgams but there are people who were exposed in other forms.

It’s a bitoverwhelming at first and the protocol involves specific timing on dose schedule.

I.d recommend starting out by reading up to page 31 of his book maybe start with pg 29. Andy Cutler Amalagam illness on google books.

Then join FB fours and read Files ,,,especially helpful Is the protocol flow chart.

Warning, this is a very dedicated admin group to using the ACC protocol. There is no debates or speculation and discussions about other protocols are not allowed.

It’s a ACC treatment support group and don’t be surprised if you cross the line at first. They’ll let you know when you do.

I know this is old but any updates? I am going on Alinia by itself soon, I was told to take it for a few months. I don't know about detoxing heavy metals. I seem to have a problem with EDTA, it's as if it releases them and they recirculate and get re-stored. I don't know if coffee enemas help. Maybe this is the wrong topic to post this concern in.

Quite a few patients seem to find coffee enemas helpful. Could be worth trying, also supposed to be helpful for liver detox. I also like infrared sauna for detox, but heard it's good to take a binder before and after to soak up some of the newly circulating toxins.

I didn't do the Klinghardt parasite protocol per se, but I have taken a lot of the antiparasitics he recommends. Ivermectin was hugely effective (but made me herx to kingdom come), albendazole was also effective. Alinia is also a good one, I think it has pretty broad coverage. But in my case I think all those meds were hitting my babesia.

I just posted about albendazole, I'm glad to hear it's effective. Did you notice side effects though? We were planning to test for co infections but they are hundreds of dollars so I think I'll just assume I should treat them in case.

I didn't have any side effects other than regular herxing, far as I could tell. But I was only dosing it once a week (I think 400mg if memory serves), it was combo'd with 18mg ivermectin twice a week. But I did take it for about 6 months, so quite a while. The ivermectin gave me the strongest herxes. Some people don't react strongly, some do, that part just depends. My strain of babesia went crazy when I hit it with ivermectin.

I started the protocol below and got 1 week into albendazole and went bonkers.. Not a herx,, very heady, spacey,, all your brain fog gains are lost. Also my BP started to become dangerously high. It did kill a lot of persister bugs,, and even on 1 week, I"m better for it. No more Full Moon issues and Lyme is pretty much tapped down. But had to stop.. See my earlier post above on what I did next.



1. Biltricide 600mg 2 tablets 3 times daily for 2 days.
Followed by…
2. Ivermectin 3mg 4 tablets 3 times daily for 14 days.
Take along with…
3. Pyrantel Pamoate 1000mg at bedtime for 14 days (Comes in 250mg tablets so take 4 at bedtime)
Followed by…
4. Albendazole 200mg 2 tablets 2 times daily for 14 days
Followed by…
5. Alinia 500mg 2 tablets 2 times day for 14 days
6. Artemis One dropper full 3 times daily for 14 days
7. Mimosa Pudica ¼ TSP 2 times daily (in water, juice or non-dairy yogurt, etc) for 14 days.

I skipped the bitricide as I could not source it, but started to feel better immediately when taking the Invermectin.

I finished the 17 days of Invermectin, 17 days of pyrantel and my eyes got so clear! 17 days of albendazole, and now I am into the Alina and feeling wonderful. My head pressure is almost totally gone. Feeling social, clear, inquisitive about the world again. Much better than the debilitating head pain I have been experiencing. I increased my dose of Alina as per body weight and pulsed in tindazole with the alinia for the last few days and am feeling wonderful.

No herx, and I would highly reccomend this protocol.

......I would not reccomend combing the pyrantel with Invermectin as it gave me indigestion, insomnia and night sweats. Klinghardts recipie says take it at night together.

If anyone has had success in getting a doctor to treat them with rounds of different anti parasitic rx meds, can you let me know? A year ago I finally found a doc who acknowledges my parasites thru ART and prescribed a couple rounds of 5 days of albendazaole + 1 day prazi. It helps while I'm on in and comes right back. I think I need much more for much longer but he wont bite and says that shuld work. Any ideas on how to safely source more rx?
