Hello everyone!

I have been free of painful symptoms for a week or two now (with no treatment) however, other things are still happening that are making me think its Lyme symptoms as well. My memory is getting ridiculously bad ans its so frustrating that it makes me cry and I've been very emotional and depressed. I am also having trouble reading, especially numbers. I usually read the wrong numbers all together and then go back to realize that what I read was completely off. I dont know if I am "just losing it" or if it is the Lyme's disease. My toes are numb and have been for a while now so I just ignore it... I keep pushing off visiting a new doctor due to fear that they will tell me it's not Lyme like the first doctor did. Also, my rash has gotten more red and slightly larger..

I really don't know whats happening....

Hi LittleCupcake - Did you have a test for Lyme disease?

If I were you, I would get an Igenex Western Blot blood test done, and schedule an appt. with a LLMD.
He/she will be able to determine whether or not you have Lyme disease.

If you do have it, and you don't treat it...it will just get worse, and harder to treat.

The sooner you catch, the better off you will be.

I agree with Girlie...Western blot is the way to go. Igenex is the best. Good luck to you!

LC, your memory issues and depression really do sound like they could be Lyme symptoms. Lyme symptoms do have a tendency to come and go as well as fluctuate. Over time, they also tend to get worse and worse.

I agree with everyone - an IGENEX Western Blot and LLMD appointment. Your health is worth it!

Also, you can start detoxing and / or up your detox methods. Detoxing can help get rid of the toxins that cause brain issues. It won't, however, kill the bacteria responsible for causing the symptoms. You can learn more about detoxing in the "New to Lyme" thread - very helpful info.

Count me in on the advice about seeing a LLMD and getting an Igenex Western Blot done....along with upping your detoxing.

Lyme isn't something to be taken lightly. The longer you delay treatment, the worse it gets.

Heck, I started treatment the day after I pulled the tick out of my abdomen and, here I am, 8 months later and still treating. I'm MUCH better and probably feel better than some healthy people. However, I still have some mild symptoms that I didn't have before Lyme so I know I'm not done yet.

LLMD's are often scheduled way out for appointments. Please don't delay in making yours.

Hello everyone I have been trying to make an appointment with the LLMD close to me which has been hard catching them at a good time to schedule me. As far as the Western Blot test would the LLMD have that? SHould I mention that when making my appointment? This is all so new to me so please bare with me.. 21 and in this alone is the worst at trying to find out what to do.
