I am currently on the same babs protocol as you, I also see him.
With clind/quin it was very mild. Some headaches and fatigue but that was about it. No fever, no night sweats, chills, etc.
With biaxin/planq it was initial nausea and stomach pain, that went away after a couple of days and then I had 1 day of leg weakness and achiness in both legs. Since then, I have felt relatively good.
I was diagnosed by a primary care physician -family doctor with a CDC positive test result. He started me on Doxy, I was on it for 5 weeks (with a couple of interruptions of Cipro for UTI and Amoxy for strep). During this 5 week period, had other babs herx symptoms - a couple of sweaty nights and I would wake up every night in a panic and disoriented. I later found out Doxy can be effective for babs in some cases.
Maybe Doxy took care of most of it? I really was a expecting a much worse reaction to Babs treatment, but so far it has been a walk in the park compared to the month I was on mino for Lyme, bart and others. It is also possible that for me, Babs is there, but not the dominating infection.
Have you been on Doxy yet?
