I don't know why the receptionist said my son tested negative for Lyme?
He is IGM IND Igenex and Negative CDC:
IGENEX IGM RESULT: IND
CDC/NYS RESULT: NEGATIVE
**23-25 IND
**31+
**34 IND
**39 -
**41++
**83-93 -
He is IGG Positive Igenex and Negative CDC, according to this test
IGENEX_IGG_RESULT: POSITIVE
CDC/NYS-RESULT: NEGATIVE
**39 +
**41+++
58+
He tested positive for Bartonella which I already knew from the receptionist, but the receptionist said he tested negative for Lyme. I think the receptionist is wrong. Do you guys think this is a positive Lyme test or not?

Congrats, Simela!! Your suspicions have been proven!! Now with a good LLMD, you should be able to get treatment for him!! He'll be on the mend soon!!
Do think about
having him tested for the gene mutations that make it hard for us to detox, since he's had those seizures and I know that for some that meant they couldn't detox well enough. I'm not saying that's what's going on, but just in case. He's obviously a tough little guy!!
And the Nurse may have only been reading the CDC positive or negatives????

It's just the receptionist, she just answers phones and probably doesn't know much about
lyme and was just reading what it said, doesn't mean the doctor will take the same stance as her. If he has some bands and has gotten a bulls eye and has lyme symptoms I would think the doc would treat him.

Looks positive to me and is that just a regular GP? Good luck with his treatment, hopefully he heals quickly.

Oh geez, congrats on getting an answer, even though it is a tough one.
I also have a 10 yr old who is going to start ABX really soon for Lyme.
:( I hate, hate, hate that we have to go through this. I wish our children did not have to suffer.
But, we do the best we can with the knowledge we have at the time. And now, you've got your answer...
I wish you the best fighting for your little boy. May his healing journey be a rapid one.

Thanks, Trav.
I don't know much about
gene mutations, except what I read on here sometimes. But I do not think he has problems detoxing as long as I use a detox agent. When he had seizures, I didn't think they were due to Lyme and Barto, so I didn't do any detox. Of course, the doctors didn't help because they were all telling me it's not Lyme. But if you remember, he has been 4+ months seizure free (since December 4th) :)
He is making some antibodies, or his tests wouldn't be +. So, I think the problem with seizures was lack of detox, rather than gene mutation. I am 90% sure that he has babesia as well. So, I think the seizures were because we didn't do any detox at all and he was loaded with most likely multiple bacteria toxins for over one year (he was bit in Fall, 2013).
It wasn't the nurse that called me from the LLMD office--it was the front desk receptionist. She is not a nurse.
Green: Yes, I think the LLMD will treat him for Lyme too.
Revive, Thanks! Not a GP, he will be treated by my former LLMD. THe LLMD ordered this tests and also already diagnosed him clinically with Barto and Lyme, but this LLMD doesn't treat Lyme without a positive test. He did treat me for Barto although I tested negative, since I was lyme+. So I think as long as he has a + test, he will treat for both.
Leilex: Thank you! How is your 10 year old doing? We are seeing the LLMD on the 22nd, so he will probably start abx then. Are you giving your son (or daughter?) anything in the mean time, before starting abx?
Thanks!

Lol nope! Even I can't have an explanation for that one! I just thought we could use a laugh! It seems that this week a lot of posters are reporting not getting better and it makes me sad because they are working at it really hard (much harder than I ever did), not to mention the money they spend.
In my case it was money well-spent. I feel well.

LOL Yes, that sounds like a very legitimate explanation. I'll be your web mom LOL
Although... I'm sure you have a terrific mom already, since she raised you well--you turned out to be so awesome and caring, dedicating years of your life helping others :)

Ha ha ha - well, she wasn't the worst Mom, but not what you are thinking. I broke the mold - fortunately. My daughter and I have the best relationship (I have a good relationship with my son too) - we are absolutely each other's best friend. I actually joke with her that we raised each other since I needed so much help in so many ways when I was trying to raise my kids.
You really are an awesome Mom. Never forget that.

I didn't have a good relationship with my mom either. It got better over the years. But she made a lot of mistakes and I could forgive her for that. Only that she kept blaming me for it I couldn't forgive for a long time. THen I eventually forgave her but I couldn't forget... It ate me alive for decades... Now we have a good relationship. Not perfect but good--she helps me with the kids 2 days per month, sometimes more if she is not working a lot. She still have a full time job and she lives 2 hours away so it's tough. Maybe that's why we turned so great, Trav, we raised ourselves. LOL Don't worry, I'll be your web mom LOL

Simela, remember about
false negatives, and as you know you need a visit and chat with the actual doctor, even though the fees are killing us!
