So I took my daughter to the lyme dr. With all her symptoms and a bite ten yrs ago, she's still not positive it's lyme. She is sending her for more blood work for co infections , thyroid and sjorgens??
Here is a breakdown of her symptoms again :

History 2005
Tick found five years old pulled out not engorged
No rash
No symptoms.

Flush cheeks always there hot or cold red streaks

2011
Springtime
Found out she had mono at some point
constantly falling asleep in class

Summer 2012
Sleep away camp
Conjunctivitis in July
Two unexplained fevers at diff times fever chills no illness in July too

2013
Ovarian cysts irreg periods

2014
Tonsil stones. Tonsillectomy apr 14'
Knee pain schloder disease?? More right knee but both at times
Lower back ache

2015
Pain lower right side gall area
Headaches. Migraine type started beg march
Tinnitus
Light sensitivity
Stab pain through right eye apr
Dry mouth

Can a child get sjorgens air could it be the mimicking lyme ?
Assuming blood comes back neg for that ..?

Have you considered bartonella? Also, period problems I attribute to thyroid. Once I started thyroid meds, my periods became normal. Was she tested through igenex? Does she have any positive or IND bands for Lyme?

All absent western blot. No haven't used igenex. Did u develop thyroid issues at a young age ?

My son had 2 negative tests for Lyme and one negative test for Bartonella. His Bartonella Fish test through Igenex was positive and his IGG Lyme test is Igenex positive.
I was + to CDC quest diagnostics then negative then 2 more times positive and last test when I was the sickest I had 3 + IGG bands through quest. If she had the Elisa test, it is notorious for false negatives.

Thyroid: yes it is possible to have problems at an early age. Especially if you leave close to a nuclear plant. There are kids that develope thyroid cancer after years of living in the proximity of nuclear plants. But Lyme can also mess up her thyroid gland even if you are not close to a plant.

So does anyone know. If someone does receive a diagnosis of sjorgens or thyroid issues due to lyme .. Are these conditions reversible or false ? In other words would lyme treatment get rid of the condition proving it was lyme all along? Or is that diagnose usually firm and one assumes it was caused by lyme ..? I hope that makes sense

I don't know what sjorghens is. As for the thyroid, many people here developed hashimoto due to Lyme. Some of them got rid of the hashimoto condition but still continue to take Meds for thyroid. I don't know if I had hashimoto or not. I have had hypothyroidsm since around the time in got diagnosed with Lyme. I still have the hypothyroidsm. I don't know of anyone that got rid of hypothyroidism but Traveler did get rid of Hashimoto after treating successfully for Lyme. Maybe you can start another tread and put her name in the title and ask her about it. She knows more about the members here than I do and she is very helpful.

It could all be because of Lyme, yes.

If it makes you feel any better, my son was diagnosed with about 6 neurological disorders including epilepsy. I've fought with doctors telling them he has Lyme and Bartonella and that the diagnostics they are giving him are SYMPTOMS, not medical conditions.
None of the diagnostics were real. My sons seizures stopped and all the other symptoms have been decreasing or are completely gone since he got abx. This is the short version, but please don't give up. If you treat your daughter she will get well. We have a member that had her daughter diagnosed with autism and all sorts of things. Almost all have been reversed for her and she is doing very well :). It depends from person to person. The best thing to do is start treatment ASAP. Detox and herbs if you can't get her treatment ASAP. Don't worry, she will be ok:)

No it's not really a rush she's had all her life that I can remember at least and she was younger and it comes and goes but if she's hotter cold you just get streaky cheeks. My LL M.D. had an assistant that relocated to a pediatric practice upstate New York so we saw her yesterday she's running the blood work to rule out other things before she starts treatment

I gave my kids propolis and it helped a lot with inflammation, which led to a decrease in pain. Then I added the herbs from Buhner protocol minus a few that I didn't feel comfortable with plus some herbs dr Klinghardt is using.

Vitamin c is great if her stomach can tolerate it. It is not easily absorbed and most of it (up to 80%) in pill form is not absorbed at all. I make a potion now that I believe is better and doesn't give gut problems. Also it has a short life so it works better if taken 3 times per day rather than once per day. 4 of us are using my potion now. Fermented food are excellent probiotics--I make sour kraut now myself. Kefir is also a great natural probiotic. A good diet low carb no sugar. And detox: Epsom salt and baking soda or peroxide baths; water with lemon; detox agents for liver, kidneys and gut. I personally like chlorella, although most member here use activated charcoal or other products. You can start with some baths slowly if she doesn't tolerate them well or some foot baths if the baths are too much for her right now.

Forgot to ask... Did you take the photos to show the doc? My daughter has a rash that comes and go and we think is from Lyme or barto. It is only on one of her cheeks so it looks like she ran while the other cheek is pale. Hopefully is not something more serious like the butterfly rash. She is probably too young for that. What did your doc say the rash is from?

It's just redness that is always there. I really never thought anything of it just thought was her complexion. What's the butterfly rash?

I'm in my 40's and found out I have lyme about 3 yrs ago. I've had health issues all my life and once I found out about lyme and what it's about, all my health issues make sense to me now. When I was little I was at the doctor 3 and 4 times a year with ear, throat infections... Bronchitis, pneumonia, food sensivities, asthma/allergies, always had red cheeks, tired-needed to sleep more than my friends....

Same menstrual stuff as your daughter-they put me on birth control when I was 15, just to regulate everything...ugh... I remember going to the doctor when I was in my 20's bc I felt like water was dripping on my leg and my legs hurt... The doctor looked at my legs and said they looked fine, I said, yeah, but they feel weird! I could go on and on, but you see what I'm saying......

Your daughter is lucky you're looking into lyme, good luck to you...

Thank you SO much for that also! I am a lymie too. But in a weird sort of almost Divine Way.. I feel I was diagnosed bc I needed to learn about it..to help her!
I finally am sitting here thinkin about all she's been through and how she had "mono" and I'm like crap! I wonder if the mono forced the lyme out or whatever just trying to for all the pieces together. My dr and her pedi still look at me sideways. Ps. So does my mother and it's hard to try to prove that I know what I'm talking about !

PEOPLE... they don't want to open their minds and listen and try to accept and understand... even when it's their own health, they still want to call it something else, treat something else and THEN wonder why they never get better!

Thank you for your kind words. I still think she has lyme. We are waiting for the results from labs. In the meantime. Does anyone know of a good Llmd for her. I am thinking of expanding from mine. We are in westchester ny. As Is my current Llmd. Thanks so much
Preferably one that deals with adolescents and abx with herbs
