could my symptoms be lyme?

im a 23 year old male. otherwise healthy.

two years ago i was in a "brain fog" that lasted a couple months. i've had random jerks and twitches throughout my body. an mri of my brain revealed a "lesion." i have constant headaches, and my cervical neck is constantly achy. my right trap is always inflamed and right my arm and hands often experience achy/ throbs. doctors told me i have a slight winged scapula (right side). deep pain between spine and right shoulder (scapula area, feels muscular related). I'VE SEEN SO MANY DOCTORS. some of them are starting to get upset with me because i keep wanting to run tests, but i don't know what else to do. i just want to snap out of "it."

Hi jordan, welcome to the forum!

It would probably be a good idea to look into Lyme. The frustrating thing is that the tests for Lyme are not at all accurate. So you will need to see a Lyme Literate doctor in order to get diagnosed clinically.

You can find a LLMD by starting a new thread entitled "Seeking LLMD near (name your nearest large city)". And you can go to ilads.org and ask for a doctor recommendation.

a LESION in the brain, was it inflammation, a mass? Sounds like it can BE ms, you should see a MDS,if you have been tested negative for MS, you should other doctors that have different opinions.

it isn't MS. we did spine mri as well. she said the lesion could potentially have been there from a headache, developed it when i was young, but she said she was 99% certain it wasn't cancer, and that i should just have it checked out again in 6 months - a year. just wondering if any lyme patients have also had lesions?

Yes, Lyme can cause brain lesions (sometimes mistakenly diagnosed as MS). Good news is they get resolved with treatment.
