Hi l'armour - Forum members have some suggestions for LLMD's - but you need to enable your email.


Go to the blue bar (upper left), click on "My Profile"....then click on "Edit Profile"...then scroll down and select "Show email".

Hi girlie,

thank you for sharing that info, iam new to this. How are you doing? Iam not doing well, I ha e this unrelenting depression& anxiety......I just don't know how much longer l can take it.

L'amour - I'm so sorry you have the anxiety and depression going on. I know when I had it, it was overwhelming. Add the physical symptoms...and it's enough to reduce you to tears on a daily basis.

But, it gets better with treatment....it is really important that you get an appointment with a LLMD.

So, please click on achievinggrace's envelope (left to the post under her name) and she will help you.


Also, you should start some detoxing if you aren't already. Read the information in the thread at the top of the page titled: "New to Lyme?..Start Here!"

A couple of cheap, easy ideas for detox:

Drink lots of water, squeeze lemon juice into some of the glasses.
Have a warm epsom salt bath.

Girlie-i am seeing a llmd for 2 in a half years & I'm still dealing with debilitating depression &anxiety, I am on clindamicin 600mgs 2x aday for about 4 or 5 months.

before that l was on tindozole for awhile- then on bactrim-which I was getting worse..... the pain was unbearable, so he tested me for that methyl gene & I tested postive; so he took me off bactrim, because if you have this problem, you can't be on medication.

I just dont know what I'm going to do.....I just don't want to do this anymore....it breaks my heart that my son might have to desl with this reality

when you test positive for the methyl gene - you can't be on medication? I'm thinking you meant to say something else?
Or did you mean, you can't be on bactrim specifically?

So, you have a LLMD. Are you looking to switch? I'm just wondering why we thought you were looking for one? Maybe we just jumped to that conclusion...

So, have you had improvements in the 2 1/2 years of treatment?
Have you treated for bartonella yet, or just lyme?

He said I couldn't be on bactrim.... iam now on clindamicin 600mgs 2x a day l also have babs, he said we ha e to go slow with me because of this methylation promblem.

i do have a docter, I just don't know if I'm getting any better. Im just desperate. It could be just the complexity of the disease.

Oh, I thought you can see all the other posts from others; Girlie was saying if I have this methylation problem- I can't take any medication....& if that is true, l would hope he would know that.

I don't think girlie said that, L'Amore. I think she was asking you about It to make sure she understood what said it. Since it's a forum and we don't know the whole story, please try to write full sentences. Maybe that way we understand each other better.

From what I make of this, you are dealing with severe depression and anxiety. You have been treating for about 2 yrs by a LLMD but the depression and anxiety are overwhelming. You have a methylation problem and your LLMD changed drugs because of it.

If you feel you are not getting adequAte treatment, I think it's reasonable to look for another LLMD for a second opinion.

Let me ask you something else: are these new symptoms or they have been with you the whole time you were sick?

Also: do you feel you made more progress on a different drug, prior to your LLMD changing your treatment?

We are trying to help you, but we need to understand your concerns. Certainly we can help you find a new doc. If that's what you feel is what you need :). Hang in there! We are here for you!

Sorry,I think your right.....I said I can't be on med.....instead of saying....on that med, meaning bactrim, sorry for the confusion.

I was doing better with the pain, but not the depression& anxiety.
The last couple of weeks i started, andrographis & resveratrol & I have bad pain & real strange, scary symptoms.... I guess I'm herxing..... I dont know if my doc is helping. ....sometimes I feel like nothing is helping..... I feel like ljust can't do this.....I'm so scared!!

L'armour - It is scary. It really is. But, the only way through this is to continue on. Lean on us and we'll do our best to help you through it.
