hydrogen peroxide - non food grade

I just want to clarify that it is okay in the detox baths to use the one in the Pharmacies - non-food grade Hydrogen peroxide?

Is that what you all use?

I have been doing epsom salt baths...but not adding hydrogen peroxide....until a few days ago...but my hubby is concerned about me bathing in it. (Who is he to talk...he rinses his mouth out in it...full strength).

I can probably purchase some food grade quality at the health food store...but it is extremely potent...and burns the skin on contact - so you gotta be careful with it.

I believe the non-food grade is 3%. I will have to check.

The food grade is so potent - that a drop on your skin burns and turns it white.
I think when I asked several months ago - the one at our Health food store was 35%.

We've had it before - can't remember what my husband was using it for...but he had to dilute it...


What kind of garbage is in the non-food grade that is sold in pharmacies? Or, is it the same, they just can't call it food grade because they don't follow strict guidelines in the production of it.

You should be able to find the 3% Hydrogen peroxide in you local grocery store or Wal-Mart in the first aid section. I believe that is what we all use.

I worked my way up to using 16 ounces in a foot soak - along with about 1 & 3/4 - 2 cups of Epsom salts to about a gallon of water.
