Most people cannot visually tell that I have this problem. For me the problem is that I just feeeeel it. My eye lid feels like it is hanging a lot of the time. I constantly close my eyes very hard trying to regain access of the muscles. My jaw feels as if it is hanging also. Ive noticed it started at 17. I am 31 now. And the tip of my nose seems to be slightly longer on that side the left, after all of these years living this way. Right now its a main symptom concern for me. It used to be only a visual thing for me. I noticed it in the mirror....ever still noone else does.. But I have OCD so I see it.
But Now I realy feel it. My eye dries out now . Its just getting very bad. Does anyone have this problem...do you have advise or success getting rid of symptoms? Thank you.

Isnt it. Close people in my life blink their eyes at me ..like What are you doing. I feel bad when I explain...Im blinking to excercise my muscles trying to regain control. They then dont know what to say. Ugh its just the worst. And not going to lie Im kinda vain I used to be photogenic. Its completely distorting my face. I hate my pictures now usually. Unless Im just having a really good day I always notice it in some way in pictures.

Veronica, are you sure you actually healed your infections? If so, is it possible that you got reinfected? That's a symptom of Lyme and if it's continuing to get worse, you should likely consider that you aren't healed.

Hi Traveler. If I said something that indicated that I thought that I have healed or cured my infections.. I didnt mean to imply that.
To the contrary. I know I still have very active infection. i used to be very active here on the forum. Im back because I have been feeling bad. And I miss the support.

You know..Im not sure that I really believe in the ability to cure Lyme. I believe you can get it into check....But with testing the way it is how do we even test that we are cured. And I do believe it can be contracted sexually. So you would have to cure your partner...etc asit goes on and on. My western blot had positives but not enough to be CDC positive. My 2 years old never in the woods tested positve though. I must have given it to her I conclude. Im looking into some alternatives to ABX... now adays. If anyone has advise on that also...
I heard vitamin B helps the nerves when bells palsey is bothering you. Im so rustly on everything. I had a good Lyme doc. Treated for a while.. Was able to work and go to school. But knew I shouldnt have recieved the nursing school vaccines...they make you think you have to...so i went for it. Now Im amess excuse me but I a ******* mess. It started within a weel of the vaccines I had flares that had subsided since my Lyme docs ABX treatments. Now in lots of ways Im worse than ever because something has happened to my will to fight. I cant get myself up to do something about it anymore. As tired as I ever used to be....I could still use my will to over come... My will has been completely comprimised. I would need to work to make money to pay my lyme doc bills.. And I have not worked in a while. I get fired for being to slow. I cant think. it goes onnn. My insurance doesnt cover the doc close to me. YOu know how it goes.

Ha ha, no, I don't believe that Lyme can be cured either - which is why I asked if you were healed. There's a difference in healing the *active* Lyme infection and curing the disease. I have healed twice now (I managed to get reinfected!!!! Ahhhh!), but I still live with the disease.

I don't remember how long you were posting - as in when was your last post before you came back - but I tried using abx for 12 months, and was an abx failure. I was a lot worse when I finally went against my LLMD's desires and stopped treatment - but I had begun to have seizures and had lost so much cognitive ability and had such physical disability by then that I could barely function. I spent quite a long while just detoxing, then found a Holistic doctor and we concentrated on detoxing and supporting my body functions - then introduced herbs to treat the infections. That was back in 2010 and be 2012, I was healed from Lyme, Bart, Babs, RMSF, Ehrlichia, Anaplasmosis and had my EBV under control.

I was under much too much stress during 2012 & 2013 and ended up with severe adrenal fatigue that brought along with it hyperthyroidism - several months later, I picked up a tick in town and started having symptoms again!!! So I restarted the herbs and healed yet again. I'm just now 99 days (but I'm not counting! LOL!) past when I stopped treating Lyme - and so far so good!!

Thank you Mister Mike and Traveler... Its been 3-4 years since I stopped posting here. You have given me a great start to research ABX alternatives... THank you . I think Dr.J is Jernigan right? I have heard good things about that. Thank you so much. Im looking into these.

Ok I understand your healed terminology now. Gotta get with the lingo again. ;o)

Mister Mike.. Actually As a 2 year old I had a cyst removed above my eye..which caused a Lazy eye for me also. . You couldnt see it..But I just couldnt even read with it. To this day it is very blurry. So it was a weak spot in the first place.

But I feel like I have stroke like symptoms too. THe whole left side is not working properly. Left shoulder hangs, hip has bone loss andso my leg is shorter , foot is all out of wack too. I am RH- ANd I truley believe with all of my heart that the Rhogam shot is what caused my body to allow the pre-existing Lyme to grow strong and take over. Because Ive finally put it together that intense symptoms started at 7 months of pregnancy with my daughter. (she is 7 now)

I had an abortion when I was young..and recieved the Rhogam shot for that also... and my lung cartilage or something became soo enflamed. for weeks. I was coughing and could feel it clicking it was terrible. You can guess what x rays showed...Yes Nothing at all lol.

So 2 years ago when I became pregnant with the baby I lost at 5 months , I resolved not to get the shot. (You dont get it till 7 months so it wasnt a factor for the loss) Well they want to give it to you at 7 months and after the birth.... I refused. They pressed and pressed....Oh my that is another story in it self... how much they tried to get me to recieve this shot. SO the point is. I did not go into a flare because I did not recieve the Rogahm shot.
I would venture to say that the shot can or will directly cause you to have a Lyme flare.

I believe that most any major stress - and sometimes minor stress - can cause a flare like that. I'm so sorry that you had to go through that. Being pregnant and giving birth twice set off all kinds of things for me. I've been very fortunate in that neither one of my kids has any symptoms despite me having untreated Lyme before, during and after having them.

But I won't even go get a flu vaccine now - no need to take a chance of setting things off when I'm not really exposed much.
