Been feeling what I believe is a herx since starting my new treatment this week. I'm SUPER pumped to finally feel one. I was on oral abx for an entire month along with Serrapeptase and didn't feel squat. As of last week, my LLMD put me on the Buhner Bartonella/Lyme Protocol in addition to the following ABX:
Biaxin
Rifadin
Ceftin
Tindamax
I am also on 120,000 units of Serrapeptase and 100,000 units of Nystatin 3 x a day to keep that Candida away.
And I know this is a lot, but I am taking 60 billion cfu probiotic 3 hours opposite of doses, along with 160 billion cfu before bed. I also have my first large batch of homemade raw fermented sauerkraut that I will dive into starting next week.
With regards to the herx, about
an hour and a half after I take my meds (3 x a day for herbs, 2 x a day for ABX) it hits me and lasts for about
2 hours or so. It is nausea, a slight headache, fatigue, and a mildy upset stomach. Pretty much the exaggeration of my existing symptoms which for the past year or two have revolved around my GI tract. Leaky Gut, GERD, and similar symptoms.
Which takes me to my question
With herxing, it is my understanding that the primary existing symptoms that one has, the GI and Stomach in my case, are the ones that will usually flare up, as mine have done. Is that correct?
So if someone has nerve or neurological symptoms, those will flare up?
If it is brain fog, that will flare up. Is that correct?
