New to this site. My daughter pulled a tiny tick off of her earlobe on 4/22. Developed a rash and looked like a puss filled area where the bite was. Rash spread a bit beyond a quarter sized around earlobe and portion of the neck - is gone now. 5/3 developed abdominal pain/nausea and 100.4 F fever. Fatigue/sleepiness has increased and continues. She will get good 8-9 hours a night and then fall asleep on the bus, or at daycare in the morning, and/or nap in the afternoon. Fever has fluctuated between 99.0 -100.4 since. Abdominal pain continues, cannot be associated with eating/not eating, activity/no activity, time of day, etc (and yes, she poops regularly lol). Also has developed headaches, a few episodes of dizziness. Everyday she experiences abdominal pain, fever, and headache - at varying times/temps throughout the day. Had lyme & western blot done on 5/8 (I think this was too soon) and results negative. Don't have the actual labs results just that it was "negative". The Dr took more blood on 5/18 to test for additional tick born diseases (at my request - she thinks I'm crazy and there is no reason to think this is from the tick bite) and a CBC. We have an appointment with a Dr. from Childrens' in D.C. (infectious diseases). I have searched for a LLMD that takes my insurance (BCBS) but having a hard time. So my question(s) are:
I am I crazy for really thinking that her sickness has something to do with that tick bite? - Did I mention that she rides horses weekly (exposure to deer ticks) AND our yard is wooded and backs to woods?
Are there any LLMD in Maryland/N. VA/ or Wash DC area that take insurance?
