Your story sounds like mine. I was on abx from August 20th til Dec 31st, so a little over four months. I did take a couple of weekend breaks when I just needed to give my body a break. Like you I just I got to the point where I couldn't take it anymore and told my LLMD. She did some muscle testing and gave me a bunch a herbs and supplements. I thought it was funny, I was on 3 different meds for four months and then I switch to herbs and end up taking more than double that in herbs.
I was also foolish and excited to be off the abx, that when I started the herbs I started at a full dose. I felt terrible for two weeks until I realized I was herxing and lowered my dosage. It is different from abx, while the herbs can be tough to handle, it doesn't feel as if I'm doing as much damage to my body. I began to notice to small improvements and I tried to keep my herxing under control but it was hard. I finally decided to lower my dose again so I can at least have a bit more energy during the day. I figured I'd talk to my LLMD at my next appointment and either ask her if it's time to change some of the herbs or if it's okay I stick to the lower dosage.
I think you just have to give it time. It's hard with life going by and you getting married. As for exercise, I was told to start with walking and then slowly add some light exercises along the way. Yoga and pilates are suppose to be good for low impact and good muscle tone. I also have neck issues, along with shoulder and back pain that tend to give me bad headaches. When I can move better I figure I'll try and add more along with whatever the physical therapist recommends .
I never changed my detoxing methods, if anything I became for lax the better I felt. I know I need to step it up again, especially since I just found out I have that MTHFR mutation. When I was on top of things I use to the the mustard foot baths, body brushing, and lemon water. I take pinella and burbur twice a day. I was also given a product called takesumi that acts as a binder but the first night I took it I had an incident where my heart started racing. So I haven't really taken it like I'm suppose to. But it's had a good reputation and had worked for many people.
