My detox regimen took a huge hit because of my cognitive problems. I could not keep up with it. And because of that, I've had to back way off my protocol because my brain was getting really bad and polluted. So I've reduced my treatment significantly in order for my brain to function better, so that I can concentrate on detox… this is my program:
twice a day, I take:
15 drops up to a dropper ea of Burbur, Parsley, milk thistle seed and burdock root tinctures to help support my liver;
15 drops of Pinella to help my brain detox and function;
1 dropper Japanese Knotweed to help with inflammation;
2 tablespoons of bentonite clay in water as a binder;
oil puling w/ sesame seed oil and oregano oil;
And when I'm able to, I ride my bike and get a good sweat going to help circulate blood and sweat out toxins;
I do dry brushing to help flush out the lymph nodes, which filter the blood and are prone to getting clogged;
And I'm supposed to be taking epsom salt + sea salt + hydrogen peroxide soak every other night so I'm working on that, your largest detox organ is your skin.
Others here have really great programs. You might want to do a search for "lyme detox" and read up on good ideas that might work for you. Everyone is different. But in general, you need to cover these bases:
> help increase your blood circulation, which is carrying toxins through the filters in your body;
> and you need to supper those filters w/ dry brushing and herbs for your liver'
> and you need to try to do something to help bind toxins via digestion;
> and also detox through your skin, which is your largest detox organ.
And whatever program you start, you need to start slowly. Start with one drop of anything one time a day every other day… small amounts of epsom salts, etc in a short bath, once a week, and only increase when you feel no sx.
If you run into problems feeling worse even when you're going slowly, you should investigate whether or not you have problems with methylation or detoxing that might be from DNA mutations or irregularities, which are pretty common for us lymees. Lots of good info here about that too. Do a search for "methylation" or "MTHFR".
Hope that helps. Let me know if you have more q's.
