Insomina herx? What do you guys do to sleep when your having insomina

Last night and the night before i literally slept maybe an hour, my body feels so over tired that it feels like i have energy but when i move im so fatigued so i know its just a feeling of being so over tired . I havent changed anything so im guessing this is a herx and iv been tyring to sleep again tonight relaxed and calm and my body just wont turn off to sleep, what do you guys do for this, i did a detox bath last night which usually puts me right to sleep and didnt do anything idk if i want to try again tonight cuz i got sick last time i did detox baths 2 nights in a row. Is there anything around the house i could try or any tips when your body feels like it cant turn off this is a really odd feeling

I'm so very sorry, I know what that's like! First of all, have you had a saliva test for your adrenals? If so, how long ago was it and what were the results, if you don't mind me asking?

Melatonin? Ashwagandha? I think they both help a little, although it's hard to sleep through a herx. Could you cut back a little on whatever you're taking until the herx dies down? Wishing you peace and deep sleep tonight.

Tired & wired since the beginning. Tried all the "naturals" that for MY body has not worked. Ambien, the only way for some to zzzz.

traveler no i havent had a saliva test, idk if they were tested any other way honestly iv had so much blood work over the last year and the past 3 months idk what i would look for on my blood work, i could check blood testing , and i tried Melatonin 2 nights ago, last night i tried 2 benadryl and didnt knock me out and normally 1 DOES, its just like happyjo said its a werid tired and wired feeling like i feel like i could go for a walk but as soon as i move i feel how tired i really am and i feel like my body wants to sleep but i cant fall asleep and turn it off idk whats going on

and trav i thought with adrenals you are more tired during morning and day and more energy at night the past few days this wired tired feeling has been all day and all night even when i wake up its impossible to fall back alseep....besides this wired/tired feeling the past few days with no sleep iv also had an increased thirst and irritability so idk if im herxing or if its my adrenals like u said

Sublingual melatonin spray helped me once, lithium helps me, low dose manganese helped me once, eating turkey (tryptophan) helped me before, CoQ-10 has helped before, SAMe can help, but for me, it's never the same thing. One thing will help for a week or so and then I'll need something else. It corresponds to my diet.

I immediately gained an hour a night extra of sleep by supplementing copper. It can have detrimental effects as well so copper is one to be cautious with.

Its a major problem..full moon doesnt help either.

Try cryptolepis drops, 5-20 drops. Gradually work up to 20. Take half dose drops in water before bedtime. Soothes central nervous system.

I've tried different things, but if I was not sleeping because of herxing I was simply not going to have a restful sleep no matter what. So I slept when I could by taking naps during the day.

Usually within a week or two I was back to sleeping like a baby. :)

As Candleinthewind says, if it's due to herxing, then you have to stop or slow the herx, and the only way I know of to do that is detoxing.

When my adrenals were going downhill, I had that wired/tired feeling all the time at some points:

I think it was herxing because i finally got like 6 hours of sleep last night took forever to fall asleep had that wire/tired feeling but i stayed asleep and when i woke up today i just feel tired now ,no more wired/tired feeling

YAY!!! A herx is much easier to deal with than adrenal fatigue! You might want to try to raise the amount of detoxing you are doing.

iv been doing detox baths a couple times a week and not two days in a row cuz i got sick, should i try and up it to every other day

No. I would say to add in a foot soak a couple of time - but don't keep your feet in the water for longer than 10 minutes. Also add in things like activated charcoal, dry skin brushing, oil pulling. There are more suggestions in the "New to Lyme?" thread.

i know i posted this awhile ago but my insomnia hasnt improved i had one good night since. its not just at night i feel wired/tired all the time like i need sleep but drank 12 redbulls or or something. I dont have any anxiety, irritability or anything else going on but this , my body wont shut off to sleep. I called my LLMD about this and questioned adrenal fatigue, he says he doesnt suspect it with me . I have tired a bunch of herbs , ambien, adrenal stuff that normal knocks me out and i still dont fall asleep... he said its because my body is fighting the bactiera and my nervous system is on overload????? I honestly feel like im inhulk mode its awful like i can feel how exhausted i am , no matter day or night and my body wont sleep ill eventually randomly crash for a few hours and wake up feeling tired but like i have so much energy again i cant fall back asleep this is an awful feeling, as everyone else had this with normal adernals and what they found worked when iv tired alot of stuff that hasnt helped? my sleep was fine up until a couple weeks ago now its hell.

I will put on a 10 hour Youtube video with beach/bird sounds... or rain/storm... or forest sounds... depending on my mood. It doesn't make me sleep 10 hours (i get about 5 hrs on a good night)... i think it does help the quality of my sleep though.

For what its worth... i know its very frustrating!

I'm so sorry, myeezy. I know how frustrating this can be. When my adrenals were "going out", I was lucky to sleep 4 restless hours a day - no naps either. I just couldn't sleep. It took a while for my adrenal meds to actually help, as we had to raise the dose slowly.

The only thing that got me through was that I would take 20 minutes a day and lay perfectly still, with calming, soothing music on and close my eyes and just rest. I didn't sleep, but learned how to just stop everything for 20 minutes, and rest. I would picture a flower opening (slowly) and switch to a new flower. That seemed to be the only visual I could come up with that wouldn't lead me into thinking about other things. It really helped me.
