Hi Jenny,
GI symptoms have been the bane of my existence the past two years. It started gradually with a little dry mouth and the emergence of a few food allergies and then just got worse and worse. I first thought it was GERD, then leaky gut, then Candida, and I was most recently diagnosed with Lyme and Bartonella.
No matter what I have done to try and treat any of these, my GI symptoms have pretty much remained the same, which has been extremely frustrating.
I am extremely bloated and that has been the case for around 2 years now. Yet there is no flatulence, pain, or constipation associated with it.
The main thing has been leaky gut and GI symptoms which has involved the development of a wide arrange of food allergies that extremely restrict my diet along with dry mouth and occasional nausea, especially if I try to eat too much.
To answer your question about
oral abx, I have been on them for around 2 months now, and I have not noticed any decline or worsening in any of my GI symptoms. However, I have been taking about
160 billion in probiotics each day. Within the last week, I also added Buhner's Bartonella protocol.
My LLMD and I are hoping that once I whip this Lyme, the GI symptoms will subsequently disappear.
However, I would be extremely interested in what you did to get you GI system back on track? It seems that I have tried everything to no avail.
ACV?
Loads of Probiotics and Fermented Foods?
Diet?
Bone Broth?
Digestive Enzymes?
