This was very very true for me.
For the time being, try and not eat meals that are high in fat, as they can be hard to digest and tough on the digestive tract.
Also, do not eat white sugar or white flour (white flour is essentially processed by the body as white sugar.). Minimize your intake of caffeine.
Check for Candida (which people have many times, when theyhave Lyme, and co-infections, I believe. Antibiotics worsen Candida, which is yeast overgrowth. Candida causes digestive issues, joint pain, fatigue and many other issues. You can also get checked for SIBO.
As you heal Lyme, and co-infections, your stomach pain will get better and most likely go away. I believe these stomach pain issues are probably symptoms of co-infections, probably Babesia or Bartonella, more than Lyme itself, but that's just a hyothesis.
I gave you a lot of instruction. If you cut out white sugar and white flour and minimize caffeine you'll be well off. Also, herbal protocols, such as Buhner buhnerhealinglyme.com/ is amazing. It works just as good as antibiotics and doesn't affect or HURT the gut, for most people, who do it. When I first heard about
it, I was like, 'yeah right!. However, it's true. The herxing can be the same, so start off lightly. You can find much of the herbal protocol at whole foods and much of it online so start off lightly. Good luck. Hope this helped!!! Wish I had that advice early on!
