I'm having a tough time with Babesia too. I have the tinnitus, but mostly at night. Some sound sensitivity too, but tolerable.
My breathing is the worst part. Try googling herbs and supplements that are good for the lungs. My list is at home but here are some that I can remember now: elecampane (main ingredient in Enula -which helps a lot by the way), skunk cabbage, lobelia, Ailanthus (tree of heaven), N-Acetyl Cysteine (NAC), Neem, Cayenne, Cordyceps, Astragalus, pleurisy root, elderberry syrup, olive leaf extract, oregano oil, peppermint. There are probably others that I can't think of.
You might also consider googling Ann Corson's Protomyxzoa treatment. Along with Babesia, Proto is known to cause air hunger. I'm taking some of the herbs and supps I listed above, and also slowly implementing parts of this protocol (artemisinin, Coptis, Cumanda, Serrapeptase, Nattokinase). I also am on Babesia treatment with Mepron (3weeks on, 1 week off), and I've had the best month of breathing since last August. And that is huge for me since I've been to the ER 4 times for breathing/heart since November 2014. I'm 47, by the way, with no risk factors for heart disease (good cholesterol and blood pressure) except being overweight and not very active due to not being able to breathe.
Part of the Protomyxzoa protocol is a low fat diet. I notice I breath better when I eat less. Another fellow sufferer with the handle "nefferdun" (who is in remission from Babesia/Proto) has researched fat binders to allow her to have a more interesting diet. One she says works is Prickly Pear / Nopal Cactus. It supposedly binds 5-10 grams of fat per 1000 mg pill. It's not a free pass to pig out, but I use it when I have a little (or a lot of) fat. It probably works up to a point, but some fat will probably get through if you eat a bunch of cookies or some icecream. Maybe that's why I'm still symptomatic??
The only pharmaceutical in the Corson Protomyxzoa protocol is Alinia. Some people use it successfully for Babesia. I think I've even heard of doctors using it for Bartonella. I haven't tried it yet, but I have some in my possession.
I didn't think I would ever breath well again. I'm not out of the woods yet, but what I'm doing is working, so I'm going to keep doing it.
As for dosing of the herbals, enzymes and supplements, just start small and work up. I think combining things helps too. If you want to know exact doses, let me know.
Best of Luck!!!!! Keep us posted as to your progress!
