Sorry to hear this! Teeth problems rank right up there with car problems & moving--headache!!
I'm not very knowledgeable here, although I've had tons of invasive dental work done myself (before knowing it was Lyme causing it).
I've always heard fluoride is bad, but it's definitely the thing that will keep the cavity from growing. BPA sounds like a no-no, since it's the same chemical that is banned from baby bottles and our drinking bottles, etc.
Can you get a temporary fix at the dentist tomorrow morning to hold you over till next week's bio dentist appointment? My dentist always did a thorough fluoride "wash" of my exposed tooth area before having me a test a temporary cap. If it fit right, she would cement it after a week. She also gave me a fluoride gel that I would put on after brushing my teeth, leave on for 1 minute, then spit. I knew fluoride was supposedly bad for the body but I was desperate to keep the cavities from growing.
I'd see if you can get the dentist tomorrow to clean it very well, treat it with the fluoride wash to stop the cavity in its tracks, seal with a temporary filler, and then go the biological route next week. If it's the same dentist that caused your chip, make him fix that as well!
