Finally a doctor that confirmed Lyme based on the INDs and Symptoms. He put me on Zithromax and IC Rifampin orally for a month, and then see how that goes. A little surprised he didnt start right away with IV Abx because I've had untreated Neuro Lyme for 4 years, but he is a very good doctor and knows what he's doing. Hopefully I can see some progression going forward

Congratulations, Colin!!!

I'm only one of many examples of long held severe Neuro Lyme that has healed without IV abx - so don't worry about that part.

Don't forget to start off on low doses and build up slowly and to detox, detox, detox to prevent serious herxing!

How many mg of each? I am on 600 rifampin and 1000 zithromax and herxed my butt off in the beginning. Start slow on them, like 300 mg or you might have 150mg. I had to drop down to half doses to quit Herxing so bad.

IC Rifampin 300 Mg, moving up to taking that twice a day in a week, IC Zithromax 250 MG and moving up to twice a day in a week as well. Best of luck to you too.

Hey we can be diagnosis buddies! I just got my dx today too. I was put on zith 250 2x/day - I'm nursing and starting slow. Doing some herb stuff too. I hope you find some relief soon!
