All of that sounds right on point to me, i wish you a full recovery.
I am getting ready to ramp mine up, running a little low so going to wait a week or so.
Plan is to get to 350-450mg of THC a day, and stay there till all sx are gone for at least three months. Then i will start tapering down. I am still not certain if i will taper down to zero, or if i will just stay on a maintenance dose forever.
Odds are i will just stay on a maintenance dose forever, partly to eliminate a possible Lyme coming out of remission scenario, possible new tick bite, reduce chances of possible cancer and just general health all around.
Since our bodies were created with THC/CBD receptors and this magical plant that has grown naturally since the start of time just happens to produce both of these, it logically makes sense to just take it.
Last time i checked i have no SSRI, Xanax, Abx, Chemo or Radiation receptors inside me, so i am just going to stick with this plant thingy.
What are your plans?
Stay on forever or taper down to nothing once you heal 100%?
I plan to keep going with the pulsed high dose until the good-bad cycling, the Herxing stops and I'm hopefully symptom free. At this point I will probably consider going back to work. Since the insurance company rejected the diagnosis from two separate doctors and cut my sick-leave short I'm now paying out of pocket for every day I stay at home. I can afford it but I would have rather used the money for something else.
I plant to continue with a maintenance dose for at least several months. I might switch over to the CBD oil during the week at this point since it's not psychoactive I should be able to take it before work even. Maybe pulse with CO on the weekends. Another bonus with the CBD oil is that you don't need to build a tolerance to its effect first like with THC so you can start out with a fairly large dose in case of a relapse.
After several months I will consider tapering off the oil and just staying with vaping to help me sleep. I've had trouble sleeping since before Lyme so I think it will be helpful for that. One thing is certain, I will always keep a batch of CO/material for a batch ready to go at home in case any symptoms return I can hit it immediately. Besides I've grown quite fond of it, pun intended. I had never used cannabis before I became ill but I can see the appeal and I think it will be useful just to relax and unwind in the evening. Before I started the high dose regimen I used to vape 100-200mg of bud a day before bed and I think I will keep that habit.
I will probably also do a few weeks of CO every few years (maybe even every year) for health reasons. I've seen studies indicating that it could prevent Alzheimer's by stopping the build up of beta-amyloid plaque that is believed to cause Alzheimer's. It might also be helpful in preventing cancer.
As for DMSO, as far as I've seen it hasn't been investigated that much for oral use. I'm also not sure if the Lyme cyst and the Amoeba cyst in the article you linked are really the same thing. My understanding is that Lyme cyst is a bit of a misnomer. It's a round body of the bacteria where it also has no cell wall. Many antibiotics target the cell wall and are therefore rendered useless against the round body form.
I have no idea whether Cannabis on its own is effective against the round-body form. Today the mechanism with which Cannabis kills bacteria is not even known so I wouldn't want to speculate. With a bit of luck it turns out that it also kills the round-body form.
DMSO is traditionally used to carry active compounds through the skin and from what I read it can even penetrate through a nail. So against the amoebas my understanding is that they use the DMSO to carry some anti-amoeba agent through the cyst so that the amoebas can be reached.
I once tried to make a topical cannabis cream using DMSO and aloe vera but it didn't turn out well. It was way too thin, lumpy and hard to apply. You also have to be careful to sterilize the area you want to use it on as it will carry whatever it can dissolve that is sitting on the skin with it into the body.

I agree with The Bearded One, he makes some very good points, especially about
starting out slow, this can not be overstated. You do not want to realize 1 hour in that the Herx is already very strong and you know it will keep getting worse for probably the next 2-3 hours. One mistake I personally did was to dose it too close together. I would take 1 dose then wait 2 hours and then take the next one. 2.5 hours in I notice it's very strong already and the rest of the evening/night sucked. Luckily those days seem to be quickly forgotten.
