Can too much detoxing cause severe symptoms? (Takesumi & Burbur)

Last night I had a bit of an episode where I was sitting watching TV and my heart suddenly started racing. I wasn't even watching anything exiting. After it started to race, I began to feel nauseous, dizzy, lightheaded and hot. I tried to cool down with an ice pack and took two aspirin. It did slow down eventually, but it was really scary for me because I haven't felt anything like that in a long time. It reminded me of the anxiety attacks I had when I first began to get sick with Lyme.

I've been wracking my brain to see what I could have done to cause it. Now two things were slightly different from my normal routine yesterday. One was I took a new product called Takesumi, it's carbonized bamboo and used for detoxing. Essentially it's like charcoal and acts like a binder. The second was when I
took my pinella and burbur. I accidentally put too many burbur drops in. I usually take about 10 drops and yesterday I think I ended up with 15 or so. Now the heart racing or tachycardia happened at about 10:45ish. I took the Takesumi at around 5:30ish and the burbur accident happened at about 8:45-ish maybe 9 o'clock.

I'm going to skip the Takesumi today and I'm being very careful with everything else I'm taking. But I was wondering if it was a reaction to the burbur or perhaps just too much detoxing in a short period of time. I understand detoxing doesn't always make you feel the best afterwards, but can it cause one's heart to race?

Hi Cheetah,

I've been on Takesumi for about a year and a half and haven't had that kind of reaction. I did have a really intense reaction the first time I took activated charcoal.

My LLMD likes his patients to take the Takesumi mid/ morning and mid-afternoon. Do you think spacing out you're detoxing might be more beneficial?

It's nice to know someone else who is taking it. Those sound like good times to take it. I'm not sure if it was the takesumi I reacted to. It could have been the burbur. I don't feel great today, but my heart isn't racing like last night. Small victories.

So do you like the takesumi? I've read great things about it, nothing but great things actually.

I just came across this, I have Lyme and babesia n ehrlichia. I just started taking samento, mora and burber today, I was ok with samento this morning, starting with 1 drop, but I just put 20 in my water bottle of burber and after just a sip or 2 I started to feel weird, lightheaded and my eyes went a little blurry, can it cause that intantly like that? Seemed strange to me. Maybe hold off of burber a few days and let samento kick in, I don't know?!

20 drops is a huge dose of these tinctures when you are just starting out - and we always suggest that no one start more than one thing at a time so that you will know immediately which one is causing the issues. It can take up to a week or more before knowing how well your body is really handling it.

I would suggest that you stick with the samento only for a week, then add in the Buber - but only start with one drop - just like you did with the samento - and then add only 1 drop per day and hold at that dosage for a few days minimum to see how your body will respond.

That's what I thought too, my naturopath said it wouldn't hurt to start burber right away that high so I tried, I'm going to wait awhile on it.

Your NP obviously has never herxed severely!! LOL! I have, so I never tell people to start off on higher doses, only that they can ramp up the dose as quickly as their symptoms will allow.

She told me that with the other Ones to start slow, just not burber, but it's best to start slow I know. I never asked her about her healing, I know she recovered from Lyme years ago and has been very successful in treating Lyme with others, I guess I don't know why she said to start that high with just that. I just hope she can help me get out if this depersonalization and severe fatigue, I've heard these have helped people tremendously in their healing, but if I can conquer the severe brain fog and fatigue, I can handle the rest!! I want to be able to function at least LoL..this is the worst because I still work..

I wish you luck!! Do be sure to do all you can to help your body detox, it will allow you to raise your doses more quickly.
