Good article - interesting that the sore feet from bart is because of the vascular issues - not getting enough blood flow.
Also my POTS - I thought is was Lyme not Bart until reading this.
I'm convinced I do have Bart after reading that.
Thanks for posting!

This is an interesting article, and it confirms the research that Buhner cited in his first book about
treating LD and coinfections. I clearly remember reading the section in the book that describes the damage that Bartonella does to the capillary system. I also read a lot of other articles about
the issues that this disease complex presents to those that are sick.
I find it interesting that electro-dermal testing revealed that the Bartonella was a bigger problem for my daughter than the Borrelia and other pathogens. I took that fact into consideration when I devised a treatment approach that eliminated the longstanding hypersensitivity/neuropathy/atrophy in my daughter's right arm and shoulder. Here is a link to my thinking on the issues:

I did permanently solve the problems with my daughter's arm, but I was not able to successfully restore her immune system. Dr. Jernigan was the one that solved that problem.

great post! I don't think I have bartonella, but one of my friends has POTS and has had cats forever. I read the article mentioning bart and pots connection, now I'm not sure if the particular cat scratch strain causes pots symptoms, but I figured I'd send her the link so she could check it out in case she wants to bring it up with her vet (I wouldn't even suggest asking her doc about
it, 95% chance they are clueless about
these infections!).

Sebreg - but you could encourage her to seek treatment!! She could do Buhner's and bypass the clueless docs!

I have been using Dan Shen for 9 mos. 30 drops 3x a day. I don't feel it has helped my circulation or my heart
I just started a baby aspirin a day and some other heart, BP, circulation tinctures so time will tell

Thanks Traveler! yeah, it's just a bit tricky, I'm not sure how
open she is to the idea. So I did the super soft sell to get her thinking about
it. When I talk to her next I'll see what she thinks about
it, I'm of the opinion she should at least test herbals out and see what it could do, I mean, if she herxed that would be strong indication that something is going on.
But I have a feeling it's going to be hard to convince her. She's my best friend and has been a therapist for me and my health issues with lyme/etc. So she knows about
this stuff, but I'm afraid if I push the bartonella too much she'll think it's just because I deal with stealth pathogens with my own health that I just end up seeing them everywhere for every health issue! I can't discount that, and obviously I can't say for sure she has bartonella and that is directly causing her POTS issues, but I personally think it is worth a serious look.

Thanks for posting this! After reading this article I am almost 100% certain the majority of my symptoms are caused by bart! I do have Lyme with positive antibodies bands but I specifically remember getting bit by fleas and that's when the fun started. Also Bart is one one of the few bugs that will give a a Herx rash that I was getting from enzymes alone, funny the article mentions using enzymes. I have a lot of other issues that didn't quite seem right with Lyme but this article really tied together a lot of loose ends for me!
PS I almost forgot when I started treating Lyme with antibiotics I had the classic Bart scratches appear on my legs, confirming the diagnosis.
Once again thanks.
