Herbs before antibiotics

I went to a presentation by a LLMD and he said that antibiotic resistance and herxing may be decreased by using herbals first.

I did herbs them antibiotics them back to herbs had a lot more success on herbs only using buhner protocol

I don't envy you that, Craymom!! I worried and worried over my kids!! Still do! LOL!

Why not start him off on an herbal protocol? It's easier to deal with usually, so it will allow him to kind of ease into things. Just remember, use an established and proven protocol, start off on only one herb at a time and on low doses - and detox, detox, detox!

Then when he's ready, he can transition over to pharma abx for treating - as long as you both still see the need. He might do really well on just the herbals.

Thanks everyone, not sure what route it will be but i guess i need to decide soon. I sure do value your wisdom, perspective and opinions.

I wish my gut instinct would be a bit more clearer when it comes to making these decisions. Its usually pretty darn good, but i feel its so back and forth right now, like i cant trust it. Doubt will creep in every now and then. Is this really lymes, im about to pump him full of antibiotics, what do i try first, am i on the right path, what if im wrong, those kind of doubts. I just push through the doubts and keep moving forward, going through the motions but its hard to have that battle of second guessing going on in my head.

Im hoping the Igenex results will bring some help to this. As well as how he responds to whichever treatment we do, maybe that will bring some reassurance that I seem to be looking for.
