How far is Spokane from Seattle? There is a well-known LLMD in Seattle - he has a website...(you may already be familiar with him)

Spokanes about 2-3 hours from where i live making seattle 6-7 hours...i found on in bozeman mt but its also 6-7 hours away..trying to find closer to home

For information on finding a​n ILADS ​(International Lyme and Associated Diseases Society)​ trained​ Lyme Literate Medical Doctor(LLMD) in your area, you will need to enable your email option in your profile in order to receive any recommendations, as we don't allow doctor's names and contact info to be posted on the forum for several reasons. You can enable your email option in your profile, under 'edit profile'. Be sure to click the submit button to actually save your preference.


​You can send me an email by clicking on my screen name or the small blue envelope under my screen name. I may have contact information for some LLMD's in your area as well.​ ​Please include your state and area that you would like to find a LLMD in and I will see how close I can get to your location.​


You can start a new thread titled something like "Looking for LLMD in the (insert the nearest larger city & state) area". Members can email you about the LLMD's that they see in that area if you have your email enabled. We don't allow doctors names to be posted though.

Hi, I don’t really know how to navigate all this but Im so overwhelmed I’ve been crying all day, I cry most days for the last almost 2.5 years since I developed a sudden headache after going hiking on mothers day with my then 5 month old. I never seen an actual tick on me but I also didn’t look for one. All I know is I was fine then I went hiking deep in the brush and the very next day I developed a headache, not migraine, tension like I suppose that never left, to this day it’s still here all day every day. Like everyone else I’ve tried all the meds and seen all the specialists and nothing helps, not even botox. I’m so hopeless that I find myself ready to walk away from my Christian faith and just be done with life. I just found out a week ago that I somehow managed to get pregnant(i’m married) **on and IUD, and the constant medications I take to “barely manage” my constant headache will harm the baby, if my body doesn’t fail me with this pregnancy like it almost did last time(severe pre-eclampsia and cardiomyopathy)
I have mentioned to my primary a few times over the years of my suspicion of Lymes disease but he’s so old school and immediately dismissed me like he usually does, headache specialists did the same, I have all the symptoms except rash and no one will take me seriously. Please help me find a lyme disease specialist in or near Spokane, I’m so beyond hopeless right now, I just want to know if I have the disease or some other similar infection from a tick or whatever because my experience is definitely classic NDPH , right down to remembering the exact date of onset etc without previous headache issues in the past. Sorry if I went into too much detail but i’m so lost and alone in this, nobody around me understands my torment and the pregnancy just pushed everything over the edge. I really REALLY want a competent LLMD or similar to test me and start me on Doxycycline but don’t know where to even start considering I’ve hit a brick wall with all the specialists so far as no one wants to even consider lymes disease for some reason. I’m willing to drive but I have 2 small kids and not rich so can’t go back and forth to seattle a bunch, but I guess I would if it meant freedom from this physical torture. Thank you for letting me vent and thank you in advance for any help you can give.

Hi Bigsky38, sorry that you have these symptoms, I'm hoping you can get to an llmd soon.

When you find one, if they say it will be a while until they can see you, ask to be put on an cancellation list.
The sooner you can start treating the better.

Some of us here use herbal protocols in place of antibiotics , or along with antibiotics.

Many members have healed from using the well known herbal protocols. They are Buhner, Cowden, Beyond Balance, Vita force(Dr.Rawls) and Zhang. Just another option to consider.

Its too bad how illness can take its toll on families , work and finances but unfortunately we cant always control those outcomes.

What we can control is our determination and our outlook about beating this illness.

Hang in there people get better...there is hope.

I live in Seattle and have three great Dr options. I know that two of them will see you in person the first couple visits and then can treat over video conference if the drive it too far. Two of them do not take insurance and one does. Feel free to contact me.

I also work with a group and we had a Lyme conference in Spokane back in March and will be having another one in 2018 - just in the planning stages. We had over 100 Lyme patients and one of the top LLMD's in Seattle was the Keynote speaker.
