Hi all, hope you're having low pain days!

Occasionally I wake up with really intense head pain at the back of my skull and neck, like it feels like someone hit me in the neck with a hammer! Is this a lyme specific symptom or possibly babesia with the neck pain? Just curious. :)

I don't get intense head pain at the back of my skull and neck but, I do get pressure in that same area.

I thought babesia - especially after starting cryptolepis.

My LLMD says it's Lyme. rolleyes

I've had that head pain and for me it usually comes with the encephalitis symptoms, although it surely didn't have to! I had it last summer when I had only Lyme, so I would assumed that it was a Lyme symptom for me. A lovely one at that <---please insert sarcasm here.

I've had major head pain which, for me, was herxing.... Herxing what? Not sure.... Maybe Bart...

I've found its really hard to distinguish btw infections...especially when it comes to head pain. If I have other babesia symptoms, like air hunger, plus head pain/pressure...then I think its probably babesia causing the pain. Other times, I just have head pain or pressure....and I don't really know what the cause is.

Sometimes I have really bad neck pain when I wake up and I can barely turn my head. I think that's either Lyme or just plain sleeping funny.

Detoxing can also set off headaches.

Drinking plenty of water and brain inflammation herbs seem to help me....though I can't remember right now what they are.

Severe aversion to bright lights, sensory changes,(severe) neck stiffness, and I usually run a fever, which is very unusual for me. My temperature usually drops when I get sick.
