Hello guys I'm new here, Ive been having a lot of symptoms starting with chronic fatigue over 3 years ago tingling in my feet and nerve damage on my left arm. I went to Igenex thinking it was lyme and my results are in.

IFA was at 80 Positive

and IgM Poisitive
Bands
23-25
31
34
66
and 41 being IND

But my IgG showed negative
with bands 41 +
and 31 IND

now I was excited about the news to finally combat what I'm dealing with but i've been reading that IgM means more of a recent infection and I've been feeling these symptoms for longer period than just 6 weeks.

Anyway What do you guys think? I'm new to all of this and I thought I found somewhat hope today.

Hi 4321nate- welcome to our community! Sorry you've been suffering for three years with no answers.
But, I am glad you found us.
I have nerve issues in my left arm, too...but we can discuss that later...I'm curious to hear about yours - how it started...etc.

It used to be thought that the IgM was a recent infection, but now the IgM is considered an 'active' infection. I, too was Igenex positive on IgM and Igenex negative on the IgG.

You have lyme disease...your next step is to find a Lyme Literate Dr. (LLMD) and schedule an appointment.

We can help you - you can start a new thread titled: "Looking for LLMD in/near________" and fill in the blank with the nearest major city and State.

You made me feel a lot better had my wife read your response and she teared up.
It's crazy the symptoms I've had and most of the time it was so broad I felt like the doctors wouldn't believe me. I just want to thank you guys for being here. The worst feeling today was me getting my results at my doctors office today and her not even looking at it and telling me she was referring me to a neurologist. I was shocked I even told her these test are showing positive and she brushed me off. After doing some research online it doesn't seem that a lot of people are willing to help with this.

Glad I found you guys.

I will start that new thread. I'm not sure how I will pay to see the doctor as I am with Medi-cal right now. Unemployed waiting on my LVN state test.

I had trouble telling each Dr. I went to what my symptoms were - because there were so many and the list kept growing month by month. So many of us have gone through that.
I've been to a Neurologist...who said I didn't have MS or ALS (thank goodness)...and referred me to a Physiatrist....who told me I had frozen shoulder. Okay...but what about the other 39 symptoms...

I don't know what I would have done without this group of people here...this forum has been a life-saver...

The scans, the blood tests, the Dr. appt.s.....for two years...if only someone had told me sooner it could be lyme.

You might be interested in reading the "New to Lyme?..Start Here!" thread at the top of the page. It's full of good information - symptom lists, info on probiotics, detoxing suggestions, and more.

Sorry for the reason you're here but glad you found us.

Girlie did her usual great job of covering all the bases and now you have answers.

I'm glad you recognize that the next step is to meet with a LLMD. Besides the great information found there, ILADS (International Lyme and Associated Disease Society) has a physician referral service on their site:

As you wait for your appointment, I do hope you review the "New to Lyme?" thread and get a detox protocol started.

You see, our symptoms are caused by the toxins released by the Lyme bacteria when they die as part of their normal life cycle.

We need to clear those toxins as quickly as we can. That's where a detox protocol will help tremendously.
