Decided the cured twice protocol doesn't work for me

So everyone was probably wondering about the cured twice protocol and if it worked? Well I am disappointed to say that I think I decided it doesn't work.

I went a full 51 days pulsing mino, clarithromycin, and Tinidazole every second day. And took the WCB. It should have done the trick by now.

I think it does hold the lyme off and probably does kill some germs as I did get a few herxed especially in the beginning. But I noticed some symptoms like the spinal aches, feeling in the neck, some tingling in the brain, then in the past few days I got an occasional haze feeling in my brain that has come and gone. These symptoms have been gradually been more consistent. Esspecially the tingling in my brain. Also I noticed the feeling in my shoulder again came back. For awhile I thought it was just the bart coming back but now it just seems more like the lyme. I'm not too sure what to do next, if it is the bart then a bart treatment should work.

Darn... Disappointing to say the least. Back to the drawing board I guess lol. I really believed this guy who cured his lyme twice and he insists it works. But as an aside I'm no where near as sick as I was before. Just noticed these lingering symptoms which have been gradually building. Some symptoms shouldn't be gradually getting worse like they are.

From now on I will just listen to what the doctor tells me to do rather than search for a cure. I'm probably back sliding and making my case more difficult to treat.

I think I am just going to do a challenge test on the symptoms with the Dr recommend high dose ceftin and paired with Biaxin. If I herx then clearly this protocol doesn't work. If I don't herx then it must be bart, but I'm pretty sure it's a little of both.

So LP - I read that the abx need 48-72 hours to kill the lyme - so is that why the Cured Twice protocol didn't work? Only one day of abx and then a day off?

But, I thought one of the LLMD's - either Burrascano or Horowitz said he had one patient that had a protocol of one day of abx a month... Or something similar to that?? And he said it took her a long time to heal, but she did. I think it was a video of a seminar he did for other Dr's.


I hate all this uncertainty - I'm always questioning my protocol and wondering if I should change it.

Oh - one other thing - I read in Burrascano's guidelines - 1 gram of Ceftin is the dose - twice a day I think. I'm only taking 500 mg each time. What do you think of 1 gram?

Is it possible that the symptoms represent die-off? That's the impression I have of new and/or worsening symptoms when we're being treated...

Lyme Pickle, If you didn't add the Thiocyanate source your body won't be able to clear out the dead spirochetes or the dead cyst forms. This will leave their internal components, some of which are viable Outer Surface Proteins which antibodies will still try to attach to causing inflammation in the spinal chord, CSF and the capillaries of the brain.

Dr. Sapi used Pinella but I used Wild Cherry Bark Extract to clear out the 'brain fog'. It is the mandatory post-Lyme procedure for cleaning out the debris!
Thiocyanate is the antioxident that the white blood cells use to protect themselves from the H2O2 and -Cl molecules they use to destroy and clean up dead bacteria.
Without enough Thiocyanate, the white blood cells will self-destruct by oxidizing themselves!

Welcome to our community, AndeyR! Since this is an older thread, and not about GSE in particular...you might want to start a new thread specifically about GSE for cyst form of lyme.

Or, you could do a search (blue bar - upper right) about that particular subject, as it has been discussed a few times on this forum.

You could put in something like "Lyme - GST for cyst form".

Happyjo- Ya my Lyme Doc uses 1000 mg Ceftin BID (Twice daily), and for Biaxin or clarithromycin he uses 500 mg BID (twice daily).

Curedtwice- I did use the thiocyanate.. I used the Wild Cherry Bark extract and the Red Zinger tea that you recommended. But bartonella symptoms were getting too much towards the end of the protocol that I needed to just go back and focus on bart. Who knows maybe this protocol did cure me from the lyme and I have had just bart ever since.

AndeyR - You could use GSE, but it is said by Buhner that GSE might not be as systemic. I.e. it's not known if it crosses over into the blood brain barrier, etc. Tinidazole does cross in through the blood brain barrier and into the nerves.

Girlie- What is this GST you are talking about? I haven't tried that for the lyme cysts. GST makes me think of general sales tax.

Lymepickle I am having great success with bee venom therapy. I've been doing it since June 19 and I actually feel like a normal person now. My teacher has healed over 55,000 people with BVT and some of them had Lyme including herself. Go to the facebook group, Pioneers: Healing Lyme with Bee Venom Therapy and you can learn about it. It wipes out all infections, viruses, parasites, etc.
