Igenex vs CDC results -- help

These are my Igenex results. A family feud is now occurring. Will the infectious disease specialists also say these are positive or will they say negative. I think they will say negative for chronic because my IgG is negative.

Feeling very alone in this. Now my family seems to not believe it's Lyme and wants me to send these results to the infectious disease specialist.

You are VERY CDC positive. The old theory of IgM meaning a new infection and IgG meaning an old infection has been changed a bit to mean new as in for your immune system to recognize it. Since Lyme does such a good job of hiding from our immune systems it often takes people years to test positive.

I agree with jrpsf.

If you are dealing with an ignorant doctor, you might hear otherwise and that's why you need a LLMD.

I'm sorry you don't have the support of your family right now. Perhaps sharing jrpsf's link will help.

Please let me know if you'd like links that speak to the politics of Lyme and the controversies.

Bottom line, nothing should discount your suffering and the right to proper care!

I agree with what the other two have said. If that isn't accepted as a positive - then what is????

That is a POSITIVE...no arguing that.

Thanks for the feedback guys. Because the IgG is negative, my fear is that they will say it is a false positive since I was not just infected. This is a very chronic case for me. I have provided my family with links re: the controversy and also the link about igm vs igg (thanks for that!!!). I am hoping to have their support in my treatment choice, but I also know I could have a long road ahead of me without them.

Sorry for the late response. Can you tell us what might help? You have a very strong IgM response, meaning the infection is active and you need the treatments. The IgG only backs up your thoughts on it being a long held infection.

As for convincing family members, you may have to show them that with the right treatment for these infections, you are getting better but here are some more links that may prove useful:
