Zyto machine - Any thoughts or experiences?

Our LLMD (member of ILADS) uses a Zyto machine in order to help guide treatment. What are your thoughts? Ever experience this? Is it an accurate guide to which treatment/meds/etc are best to treat LD? Thanks!

I went to a talk about them several years ago and I had one done once. I can't say if they were accurate or not, but I only had it done the one time. I should do it again and see how it compares to my first scan. I had forgotten about it.

Bump...

My daughter, husband and I just had lyme/cos testing via a zyto machine. The LLND was trained by Dr. K in WA, and I really want to believe she knows how to use/read the machine, but if it's accurate... I'm scared.

I'm IgeneX positive for Lyme. I'm not 100% sure about cos other than what my LLMD thinks based on my symptoms (I also have Hashi's/hypo, adrenal fatigue and could be near early menopause so I don't know which symptoms are from what issue).

On zyto, I tested positive for bart, ehrlichiosis and RMSF... not for BB. However, I've also been on antibiotics/herbs for 3 weeks. Not sure if that matters.

The scary part is my daughter zyto tested positive for BB, bart, babs, ehrlichiosis and RMSF. She's not as symptomatic as I am, and the only reason I think the issues she has might be lyme related is because I analyze everything that she says she's feeling because I'm scared she might have lyme. I'm going to get an IgeneX test for her.

My husband, who's NEVER sick and has zero symptoms of anything, zyto tested positive for bart and ehrlichiosis.

I'm not sure how much to believe in this machine. My son wasn't with us today, but now I feel like we should all get IgeneX tested. Are some people never symptomatic?

cirenep & GP, do you have any addt'l thoughts on this type of testing?

I worked with a nutritionalist/naturalist for 9 months and spent a lot of money on Zyto. She was able to help get my immune system working better, but I didn't trust the scan when it came to diagnosng Lyme and co. She said the scan would show the biggest stressors. It showed low numbers for Lyme/bart/babs etc for me and her answer was that I did NOT have Lyme even though I was CDC positive. Then one day the scan showed high for Lyme & Co and she said I must have been around someone who has Lyme. We had traveled for vacation and most of us know that travel activates Lyme for some reason.

I think Zyto is a great tool to help pooint you in the right direction, but I don't think it should be used as a complete diagnostic tool.

Boxermomtoo, I'm with you. It's a good supplement but you can't rely on it it completely. For example, my LLMD has said she has used it and it tells her that she has infections that she doesn't have. It's helpful, but it's also not perfect.

No, I don't have any additional thoughts on it since I only did it once. I don't think I'd trust it as the only test for Lyme an co-infections, though.

Thanks everyone! I talked with my LLMD and he said to get an IgeneX test for her.
