I had my second visit to my llmd today and was given my Igenex results

I have been taking Minocycline, Rifampin, and Tinadizole (off,on)

IGM positive IGG positive
18 + 18+
23-25 + 23-25+
28 - 28-
30 - 30 +
31 + 31++
34 + 34+
39+ 39 ++
41 +++ 41++++
45 - 45 -
58 - 58+
66 + 66 -
83-93 + 83-93 IND

I still have a headache and numbness in my thumb. It looks like a couple more months of treatment.

Wow that has to be the most positive test result I've ever seen. You are positive on every key band. Have you tested through any other lab? Just curious your results if you have.

jdm99, I am so sorry you had to find this forum but believe me, you will be glad.

I am a newbie and the people here are so smart. Been there, done that type of education comes from this place.

I still have a headache if that is any comfort. Mine comes and goes. When it goes, I do the laundry or go shopping. When it comes, I whine, yoga or meditation. Actually sometimes it helps to be distracted by a huge concentration task and I forget about the head pain. But the times I can't ignore it, I am a cry baby.

Wow, jrpsf - what a difference between the two labs!

jdm99 - yes, you definitely need to keep treating, since you still have a couple of symptoms. And, continue to treat for a couple months after symptom free.

I can tolerate the headaches. The abx and probiotics make me miserable most days.

I feel like I need to eat all the time. I changed my diet to Paleo and quit drinking. I lost 13 lbs in a month, feel okay but I really miss BEER!

My DR says that he has seen very few tests with so many positives. The tests were done a month after two week Doxy treatment.

I cannot believe the difference in the test results!

And how many people would get the 'you don't have lyme' brush off after the first one?

Big difference between Quest and Igenex but it leads me to wonder how much the abx played into the second set of results....

After being on abx mino/rifampin/tinidazole for a month I am tempted to spend the $100 and see how my Igenex Igm has changed.

To see such positive results would tell me that I have kicked the proverbial lyme "hornets nest". And I would consider it a positive thing especially in conjunction with feeling better...

As for the beer cravings....I had my absolute worst herx after going to dinner with friends and having a draft beer. Within an hour I began having shooting nerve pain in my chest and had to go to the ER around midnight to rule out a heart attack.
I guess it could have been the grouper sandwich....!! Lol

I am curious as to how the doctor has prescribed your dosage for the abx especially the pulsing days. Do you take everything on your tinidazole days or just that alone.

As the others have said, what a difference a lab can make! (and probably the abx :)

I hope your LLMD told you that ILADS recommends treating for 6-8 wks. past full resolution of symptoms.

The last 10% of healing can be elusive for many of us but, it's attainable...it "just" takes time.
