Late stage lyme and CDC

I'm exhausted and need help understanding something, mostly out of curiosity...

My brother tested CDC positive via Lab Corp. He said that the LLMD told him this is something he's had for a long time, so I'm assuming he was at least IGG positive and maybe to some extent IGM. Getting accurate info out of my brother is like pulling teeth.

Anyway, his case has to be reported to our state Dept of Health. So how would the IDSA and CDC explain this? It's obviously not post-treatment lyme syndrome because he never received treatment before. It wasn't caught in the first 30 days. They can't say it's all in his head or it's normal aches and pains of daily living because he tested positive according to their standards.

Probably, which is so completely ridiculous.

Thank you... My brother has most likely had lyme since the late 90s. He's been to so many different doctors. I didn't know about all this lyme stuff until I was trying to figure myself out this year. My dad said someting to me last month - that he thinks it's all in my brother's head. That's when I knew he had to see my LLMD. :( It makes me cry to know he's suffered for this long. On top of lyme, he has multiple food intolerances that have caused major GI issues and he has mold toxicity. ALL of the other doctors he's been to have missed all of that.
