I was sent to the Infectious Diseases Clinic in Newcastle's RVI to see them about a possible Lyme diagnosis.

If they are as unclued up about Ebola as they are about Lyme, God help the UK should an outbreak ever occur.....

I couldn't agree more. By dismissing what you don't fully understand, without questioning your judgement or medical knowledge you run the risk of massively fatal consequences. It is nothing short of medical negligence.

I don't think that international travel and what can spread with it has been given anywhere near enough attention. And with all those interconnections, it can be round the world faster than a viral video on facebook.

Scary, but look on the bright side - at least and at last Dr MacDonald's earth-shaking findings are getting mass publicity.

It's a very good possibility, myeezy. My FIL might have been saved as well. It's not a sure thing that every person with Alz has Lyme, but it's worth treating for it to find out in my opinion!!

There's every reason to suppose that if people with Alzheimer's turn out to have a Borrelia infection, then eradicating the infection could roll back the symptoms in some.

One of the most important breakthroughs Dr MacDonald has made, just in the last few days, is the discovery of hard, particulate amyloid coating the Borrelia biofilm in the blood of an Alzheimer's victim.

This was found via a method he developed using Congo Red stain for amyloid. He has said that it is a very easy and inexpensive test that need not be done in a hospital lab - your local GP could do it. So the particulate beta-amyloid that covers the Borrelia could be an easily-detectable biomarker in the blood, and people could be discovered and treated early - long before irreversible brain wasting had occurred.

I'm sorry (but not surprised) to hear about your plight.

Re John Caudwell, he did emphasise his son's predicament because that's what's closest to his heart at the moment, (his son is 20 and has been virtually housebound since age 10). But he did also mention the links between Lyme and a lot of very serious physical diseases in that ITV broadcast.

He mentioned MS, alzheimers, and ALS (Motor Neurone Disease).

Also, if you do a Google News search for his name and the word "Lyme", you'll see that he has now done umpteen interviews in the national press, and in these he mentions M.E./chronic fatigue syndrome and much more. He has now said many times in the press that this is a chronic and unrecognised epidemic and even said it may turn out to be the worst unrecognised epidemic of all time.

As to co-infections, he may not yet be fully aware of these. We must remember that it is only a few weeks ago he learned for the first time that all his family's illnesses are due to Lyme. So we need to give him time to absorb all the myriad information that goes with Lyme.

We also need to ensure he is advised by the best Lyme specialists in the world - such as Dr MacDonald and his colleagues in ILADS.

I think Scotland is one of the worst places for the Denial - Scotland has some of the most hyperendemic areas in the UK and as you probably know, you also have some of the worst rates for MS in the world.

Your experience with the NHS is very typical, and I believe that people do get labelled malingerers and hypochondriacs in their medical notes once they raise the issue of Lyme.

You asked what was my experience of the NHS? The National Health Service destroyed my whole family - however, I believe the problem lies not so much with the NHS as such, but with our lying public health establishment who advises them, ie Public Health England (formerly HPA) led by Dr Tim Brooks. Dr Brooks is a biowarfare scientist, laying down civilian Lyme policy from the country's main biowarfare lab at RIPL, Porton.

And if you look at the history and backgrounds of all the major players in Denial of chronic Lyme , both here and in USA, you will see they are nearly all connected with the military biological warfare establishment.

That establishment is guilty of colossal negligence in their handling of the most dangerous germs on earth. No independent agency is allowed to inspect them when things go wrong. So they never learn and never change.

The biological warfare establishment (I wont call it biodefense, because of the most work is dual-purpose and the public has no democratic oversight and no way of knowing, much less controlling what these scientists actually do, given the huge secrecy surrounding it all) have become a law unto themsleves.

They prioritise covering up their huge breaches in biocontainment over helping the hundreds of thousands, maybe millions of people infected with the pathogens they pretend are "easily cured in 2 weeks" or "very rare" or both.

It would not be sursprising if it was. As no soldier infected with this.would be any good
There muscles going weak.can not fight,there brains zombied out with exhaustion.And all the other syptoms

i also had raised Esr inflamation blood marker. I saw sefveral gps over the rash Gave me a cream Did not work
2/ year later i asked gps to run lymes test. i was Told NEGATIVE WHEN IT WAS POSITVE
This test positve lay UNSIGNED BY GPS
3/ infectious disease nhs concultant i saw who gave me a ME diagnosis baseed on my syptoms.omly because he thought my earlier result from gps. was negative He could easily if be bothered could look up medical records on computor
He RAN LYMES TEST AGAIN .hE WROTE TO ME SAYING IT WAS NEGATIVE

4/ 4 years after being infected,a neurologist looked back my blood test history of 4 years this was in 2010

6/ i saw same idiot again he gave me 100mg /1 a day doxy for 28 days.
He retested me again i was still positve.He did not give me any more doxy
7/100mg doxy for 28days.The nhs think this is enough for those .Whos illness is caught at start,And tghose who have had it year and years

Boiling water hits my foot plate missing my legs
I also think the lid of tea container is Kettle base stand. I try to sit kettle on top of this a few times. It topples over and againm bpoiling water hits my powerchair AS im sitting in it
