not for me, i had very bad dieoff but never diarrhea. Careful if this diarrhea continues, if you are taking ABX, it might be C difficile, so make sure to test your stool for it in case things don't calm down.

For me it seems so. Every time I have a major Herx I have diarrhea. I'm not sure what causes it, I imagine the intestines get inflamed and don't work as well.

I won't have diarrhea but I will have multiple poops a day and occasionally my anus will be sore. I'm convinced this is the time I'm pooping out the bug residue or whatever.

thanks for the replies. i'm currently on zithromax/malarone daily and i've had diarrhea and a bit of an upset stomach for the past few days. note i take these after a meal and VSL #3 before a meal. i was taking zithromax/mepron for months earlier in the year and i did not have these symptoms so i'm wondering if its caused by the abx or something else.

i was thinking since VSL #3 has 400 billion organisms and i take that near the same time as the abx that it could be causing the issue but i've done this with other abx's in the past and not had the same reaction.

Rikky, that's your problem - your abx are eating up your probiotics. You should be taking your probiotics 2 hours after your abx - not just before the meal then taking your abx after that meal.
