Margaret,
I get heart racing daily and sometimes to the point where I have to stop and sit or hold on to something, feeling like I could fall or pass out (but I haven't, thank goodness).
My doc's assistant suggested trying Alka Seltzer Gold (has to be Gold) when this happens because she thinks it's a herx reaction, so I've tried it the last 3 times and indeed the palpitations stopped and I felt better. But only for a few hours, and then they return. Of course I don't want to take an antacid more than once or twice a day at most, but it's nice to know that something will help calm the heart racing for a little while.
I'm not sure if this will help, but I thought I'd share this with you just in case.
Hope you're better soon!
P.S. - I've also found that when I take Unfiltered Apple Cider Vinegar & Baking Soda it also makes the palpitations subside for a while... from what I understand, these are both methods of making your body alkaline (vs.acidic). My personal formula: 4 tblsp raw apple cider vinegar, 1 tsp baking soda, 1/4 cup filtered water
