Most definitely. Most of the time, the damage isn't to the nerve itself, but to the protective sheath around it. This still allows misfiring of the nerves/wrong signals to be sent/received, and you can have some symptoms, but not all of them.
It's not that easy to find cranial nerve palsy by Googling online, because they want you to name which nerve it is. And depending on which cranial nerve it is, will determine what kinds of issues you might have. Just remember that everything you feel and each muscle is controlled by nerves/nerve functions. That leaves a lot of room for different issues.
This is a very basic guide to which cranial nerve does what:

neurology.about.com/od/Glossary/a/The-Cranial-Nerves.htmOnce you find out what cranial nerve controls which function, you can go from there to find what the symptoms might be. Just remember, we have infections that damage the protective covering of the nerves, so don't let any of the "possible diagnoses" get to you. Chances are pretty good that once the Lyme & other infections are healed, your nerves & the myelin sheath (that protective covering) will recover quite well. Hard to believe, but very true. The stories I could tell about
my nerves being severely affected and so far so good on them coming back - slowly, but I won't complain too often!
