Hey all, hope you are doing okay. My brother has had chronic lyme over 9 years, extreme exhaustion and brain fog and gut issues are the main issue. He is super sensitive to EVERYTHING, including healthy things likes vegetables and even a multivitamin can cause a bad reaction.
Thanks to a user on here, "The Hunter", my bro is using a very very gradual approach to working in these healthier foods and slowly eliminating sugar and possibly meat over time. It seems that when you are super sensitive with this chronic lyme you can't just start vegetable juicing or making rapid changes to diet. That will do more harm than good. We learned that the hard way. Gotta be very slow and very gradual. Like start with 5 baby carrots a day, 1 or 2 lettuce leaves a day, etc.
Anyway, he just started having one glass of Hemp milk in the morning and is having small amounts of raspberries. The improvement has been significant after only 3-4 days from what he tells me. He said today he feels 7 out of 10 as opposed to the usual 3 out of 10, that's huge.
We'll see if this lasts, hopefully so. I will update. I'm thinking Hemp milk could be a solid source of food for everyone with lyme. He tried hemp seeds before and didn't handle them well, but he loves the milk and its one of the few things which doesn't hurt his gut. The raspberries he's using to get vitamin d which he found he had not been getting enough of, but couldn't handle any vit d supplements.
