Placing an herb order - any suggestions?

I need to order some Buhner herbs from Woodland essence -

here is what I take (not all from Woodland Essence)

JK, Sida, Crypto, Hawthorn, Houttuynia, Ashwaganda, Eleutheros, Rhodiola

Vits/Mins - D, B12, BComplex, Cal/Mag, extra Mag

others - CoQ10, ALA, Curcumin, Serrapeptase


(I won't list my detoxing stuff)

I may have missed some. I'm thinking of adding Lion's Mane...I'll have to check, but I think it was for nerve support.

Any ideas? I am placing an order from Woodland Essence...but if I'm missing something really important that they don't have, please let me know anyway.

I don't see Lion's mane on the Woodland Essence website...is that the one that goes by another name...or do I order it from somewhere else...?


EDIT: I did a search and CD posted that she ordered the Lion's Mane from Beneficial Botanicals.

hmmm...wonder what else they have that I can get...or does anyone know another source?

His new book core protocol:

Endothelial protection - Polygonum cuspidatum root - tincture 1/4 to teas. 3-6xs daily

Cytokine remodulation - combineed tinctures equal parts Salvia miltiorrhiza and scutellaria baicalensis - 1 teasp 3x daily

Collagen protection - Great lakes gelatine powder(he prefers pork) - 1 tbl 1x daily; Vit C - 1,000-3,000 - daily; selenium - 200 mcg daily

Immune remodulation - Unicara tomentosa bark - tincture 1 teasp 3x daily; Cordyceps mycelium - powder 1 tsp-1tbl 3x daily; Withania somnifera - powder 1/4 tsp in am 1 tsp before bed; Eleutherococcus senticosus 1:5 formulation - tincture 1/4 tesp 3x daily; Glycyrrhiza - tincture 1/4 tsp 3x daily

Antispirochetal - Andropraphis capsules (recommends working up slowly. recommends 1 600 mg (one capsule of a 1,200 mg formuation, for example) 3x daily to begin for one week. Then if there are no side effects, increase the dose to 2 caps 3x daily. Check the side effects on this herb. Unpleasant allergic reactions can occur.

Neuroborreliosis = unicaria rhynchophylla - tincture 1/2 - 1 tsp 2-6c daily, depending on severity of brain infection

Mike - not intentional - I do take Vitamin C.

Re: Crypto- when I talked to my LLND several months back...and told him I'd like to add some Buhner herbs back into my treatment, he suggested Crypto - although I was talking about Bart...and he said that Crypto works on all infections.
Are you using JK and Sida for bart?


PeteZa - is that the new Lyme protocol? So polygonum cuspidatum - is JK (if I remember correctly).
Does he not recommend Cat's Claw anymore?

I am focussing on bart treatment now...and maybe hitting Babs just in case (sida/crypto)

So, i have to do an order just for Lion's Mane from Beneficial Botanicals, I guess. I'll see what else they have that I might want, I guess.

Yes his new core protocol. and yes that is JK.

Both Unicaria rhynchophylla and Unicaroa tomentosa bark can be sold as Cat's Claw from what I am seeing when I try and order it. You have to read the label. My capsules of Cat's Claw are unicaria tomentosa (bark).

Thanks PeteZa - I wasn't aware of the Scientific name of Cat's Claw...and I doubt if I'll remember that one...lol.

Glycyrrhiza - licorice
Withania - ashwagandha
Salvia mil.... - red sage
Scutell..... skullcap

I just think he is giving us the real names so we won't buy the wrong thing.

Nothing new to add to your list, just wanted to let you know that crypto was absolutely the best thing I've taken in the 2+ years I've been sick. Before I started taking it, I had read that it was great for strep throat. I always felt like I had a lump in my throat, but it was a mild symptom and I had other symptoms that bothered me far more so I never worried much about it.

I also remember my LLMD saying that chronic strep can be just as much of an issue as lyme and co. I started taking cryptolepis and it did wonders for my throat and my babesia as well. I feel almost normal now. Just wanted to put out another good review for crypto. Best thing I've taken since I got sick.

DazedPete1, I am thinking that I don't have Babs based on your evaluation of Crypto. I have been taking it for a few weeks now and I don't feel a thing from it. So..... maybe I am a lucky one and no Babs? Or is it hiding? I wonder if I ever will feel comfortable?

I found out about Lion's Mane on Buhner's site and that's where he mentions Benefical Botanicals being the only source he can recommend at that point.

He does not include that company in the list of recommended herb suppliers per his Facebook page (someone shared that info on here and I stored it :)

Lion's Mane is a mushroom.

Maybe someone that does Facebook might ask Buhner for an updated recommendation.

Thank you sooo much for typing out Buhner's new Lyme protocol, Annette!!!

I received an email telling me that all but 75 books were shipped to those who donated towards publishing costs. Not sure where I fit in with that and what routing they chose.

Lyme continues to test my patience lol

You are going to love his new book. It goes into each symptom and gives his herb. For example, With neural pain, add (meaning add to the core protocol)

1. Chelidonium majus (greater celandine) tincture, 1/4 tsp 3x daily and/or...

2. Pueria lobata (kudzu) root tincture: 1/2 tsp 3-4x daily, and/or ...

3. Melissa officinalis (lemon balm) tincture, 1/2 tsp 3-4x daily, and/or...

4. Homeopathic Kali Phos: 30
C 4 pellets 4x daily.

then he goes onto - With buzzing or electric feeling in nerves, add.... and so on and so on for pages!
