Lyme Disease? Looking for LLMD in CT

Hi,

I moved to CT last year, after have lived in Arizona all my life (44 years). In the last 6 months, my health & mental state has deteriorated. I first started having anxiety at the beginning of this year. I went to a psych dr, and she ran standard test...one being Lyme. The test came back equivocal, and she recommended I show the results to my primary dr. I took it to my primary, and she dismissed it. In the past 6 months, I have anxiety/depression...to the point of feeling like my nervous system has been sliced open. I have hair loss, can't keep weight on (which for the past 20 years I weighed 200lbs) I now struggle to keep 128lbs. Backaches, memory loss, mental fog, vision has deteriorated, low blood pressure, tingling in fingers, now have some weird sensation in my tongue. My cholesterol jumped 50 pts in three months. My tsh is dropping, was .89 in September, now .34. My psych dr ran blood test again last week, and my Lyme 23 IGM came back reactive, all others negative. My question is could this be Lyme? And am looking for a LLMD in CT area. It's so hard being new to a different part of the country, and trying to find good doctors.

I am sorry you're dealing with this, but am glad about two things in particular:

1) you're searching for a LLMD - as band 23 is specific for Lyme disease, and your symptoms plus being in a Lyme endemic area, all add up to Lyme disease.

2) You've found us here. This forum is a wonderful place for support and knowledge.

So, in the mean time - please enable your email address, so members can send you names of LLMD's privately. We don't post their names here for privacy reasons (we need to protect our LLMD's)

i see you started another thread - also looking for a LLMD in CT. Since it's a duplicate...you could delete that one.
