My Bee Venom Therapy Update

Hello all, I wanted to give and update on my progress with Bee Venom Therapy.
I am at 24 weeks, it was 5 months on Dec 22nd, this is like figuring out how old a baby is....weeks vs months!
I have taken right around 500 bee stings and the improvements are great!
My symptoms that still remain are mild and pass quickly.
This treatment is easy, can bee done at home and incredibly cost effective along with so many also reporting improvements...folks that have tried so many other treatments without much success.
I have been using acupuncture points in my sting placement which is fascinating and effective.

Thank you for posting. I've been following a BVT Facebook page to learn more about the therapy. I haven't been stung many times in my life by bees but when I was I remembered it HURT! I think that's the only thing holding me back right now. How do you deal with the pain of multiple stings? Also, does it leave scars? Not that it's even important at this point when you're so sick with Lyme......

It does hurt...you can ice before you sting and after you take the stingers out...I stopped icing on my back completely after about 3 to 3.5 months...mid-October. So I take about 6 stings to my back 3 times a week. I do ice for about 5 minutes prior to stinging elsewhere on my body. We don't move off the trunk of our body until we have been stinging for 3 months. The pain isn't awful...it is bearable, there are many that still ice and have been stinging for a year, all up to that person.

Traveler...haha I guess some might say it isn't easy but it defiantly can be done at home, most do not go anywhere to have it done! My family does my back stings and I do the other places.

Blue I do have two of my own hives, we became beekeepers in October, which is late in the year even in Texas standards... I still order bees because I don't want to have to crack open the hives when it is cold but will stop ordering after the last freeze of the year. We wanted to allow them to winter over.

Traveler I didn't answer your question regarding acupuncture, no I have never had an acupuncture treatment outside of Bee Venom Therapy. I would like to though especially for areas that I am not interested in stinging any time soon i.e. my head and face!

A friend of mine was just telling me the other day there is an acupuncturist close by so I may have to give him a whirl!!! Thank you for sharing an you wonderful experience with it, inspiring!

Thank you CD...yes I love that this is a viable option. I personally think everyone should investigate it but I understand the things that hold them back.

Here is a question I posted on another thread. I will post here and delete the post on the other thread so we don't have a discussion going on two threads at the same time.

Have any of you who do this been diagnosed with Bartonella or it's related cousins? This is the only thing I'm really concerned about because I've read the research and find that melittin works best on fungus and gram positive bacteria. Also, it sounds like it might be effective for cell-wall-deficient bacteria. But, Bart is gram negative and I don't want that getting out of hand if that is my dominant infection. I know borrelia is gram negative and BVT works well for that, but, many times borrelia is in a CWD form, so maybe that is why it works well for that. Which brings me back to my concern about gram negative bacteria.

I don't have facebook, so PLEASE, help me out with this question!

My apitherapy nurse said it works on coinfections and on biofilm...but i think i have mycoplasm and wonder about intercellular infection like rmsf...im at 3 months...its kinda fun llmd said it only helps inflammation but two nurses with lyme swear by it

Hi blue! Thanks for your reply. I do hope it works well for lyme for me. I'm a bit worried about it working on biofilm and releasing more bugs.

Blue, are you saying you're not sure about it's effectiveness on Bart? I really hope Bart is not as much of an issue for me as I think, or, if it is, that melittin actually hits it too!

Hopefully more people will chime in about their experiences with specific co-infections. Maybe I should post a new topic to get people's attention.
