Head pain, headache were one of my first symptoms.
Mine was in the back of my head behind my ear. But it would go behind my right eye and there were times when I had what I call lightening bolts of pain at random places in my head.
I also had times where I could not brush my hair. I have always been tough headed and this was so strange to me. My hair is mid-back length and I had to condition and put detangler just to brush it.
Japanese Knotweed helped but I am not sure which was the icing on the cake, I have narrowed it down to Red Root or Cryptolepis. Regardless I am not testing these waters by stopping any of them.
I did find that staying really hydrated was helpful. I drank an extra glass of lemon water a day.
Oh and this was amazing. All last summer I had those head pains and when I got in cold lake water and went swimming - poof* the head pain was gone. Some days it was for the entire rest of the day and some days it was just an hour. But, boy did I swim a lot just to get head relief.
So, my theory was, and it still is, the pain was exacerbated by heat. If I took a hot shower I felt like the witch in Oz that was melting. Hot was my kryptonite. I had to stay on the cool side to have relief.
Sorry this is so long, but this head pain was very debilitating to me and I tried to put any and every thing I could think of to help you. I remember well the misery and how I would just cry in pain because there was nothing that seemed to make it better. I tried all kinds of meds and narcotics.
