Can't seem to shake this cold!

I have been sick on and off since a few weeks before Christmas and this time around is taking everything out of me. It started up again last Friday and by Saturday night I was in the Urgent Care. They game me Azithromycin and told me to go back to the doctor Wednesday if I didn't improve. Guess what! It is now Friday, a week later and the cold is spreading! My chest is finally feeling better after they gave me an inhaler to use (yes, it has steroids, and yes, I am that desperate). That finally helped my chest pain, but now the cold is spreading to my sinuses and my throat. My throat is killing me, I am so incredibly achy, and I am freezing one minute and dying of heat the next. I don't have a fever, but I feel like I do. I am just so frustrated. I have tried everything, resting, doing like exercise (which was awful), using my albuterol inhaler every four hours (as suggested by the doctor), taking Azithromycin for five days (as prescribed), and taking both Tylenol and Motrin every four hours. The Tylenol and Motrin help a little and the inhaler helps my chest pain a little, but I am in just so much pain and so uncomfortable! Sorry, just had to vent. It has been a crazy past couple of months and the craziness is not helping with my health.

cd3764, they gave me antibiotics because they were concerned that it was lasting so long and thought it might have a bacterial component to it. Also, I am not really getting anywhere with my Lyme and co's treatment. I have tried oral antibiotics (several different ones and combinations) and I have tried A-Bart and Teasel Root Extract. Nothing has really helped so far. I go back to the doctor soon and really have no idea what we are going to try next. We seem to be running out of ideas.
