Roxy,
There is no such thing as a false positive. The test is looking for antibodies your body (immune system) has produced to fight against Lyme. If your immune system didn't detect (which isn't easy) Lyme it wouldn't have created the antibodies that were positive and reactive.
As Girlie stated 23 and 39 are Lyme specific. That can only happen if your immune system created antibodies to fight against the Lyme it detected. There is absolutely no other way.
I understand that you are afraid to believe anything at this point. I've not posted in your threads but I have read them and you have been through the ringer. You know have a clear answer. That's good. You can treat knowing comfortably that you are treating the right cause of your issues.
If what I've written and what Girlie has written still leaves you a bit unsure this is the site I used to understand my test results. Read through it. Farther down there are a lot of posts and responses that I found interesting and comforting. Hang in there.
